  1. If married to a Thai the money in bank method for extension is 400k for 2 months prior to application and maintained for under consideration period then can be used as required
  2. HH is a fruit loop office. Each office has their own requirements and fortunately HH is not the norm.
  3. The overstay will not be an issue. Would be amazed if the io even mentioned it. That said I would have prepared answer to any question (which will not be asked) . Such as missed flight. Had covid.....whatever. No problem If you have time can you post a trip report after arrival. From io experience and also crowds etc
  4. OP, assumed you entered on tourist visa. If so then use TM86. If you entered visa exempt then use TM87.
  5. Do some research. https://aseannow.com/topic/1261380-visa-run-udon-thani-to-nong-khai/
  6. 2 pages remaining you would be good to go. If you are obtaining ME Non O that will take a page at eg Savannakhet. Visa exempt entry is stamp only. No problem
  7. Recent pic from current thread in Thai news. Immigration arrivals.
  8. Seriously never considered that. I assume that the required transferred amount would be counted from month of previous extension and every month including the month you apply for next extension.
  9. Some fantastic advice in this thread esp @Peterw42 and others. My post not so specific and factual. Just some observations based on 3 purchases in last couple of years. First observation is that the land office where you do the transfer is amazing. So simple compared to my joint Oz. As Peterw42 pointed out earlier they very carefully make sure the sale has all the boxes ticked off. clear title etc. All 3 times I didn't use a lawyer. Didn't even consult one. Recent purchase I didn't look into the common fee (yes stupid) later to discover expensive. Fortunately that condo was large and being on older side had a team of tradesmen that did most of the makeovers. Fortunately turned out to be gems and used them on unrelated townhouse makeover. OP, as for sale price....I found Thai very different ideology than western folk. In Oz (and elsewhere) we have a saying ..."it's worth what someone is prepared to pay" Thai dont think that way imo. OP, did you consider just putting the condo in wife's name? I had no qualms
  10. I have used drivers licence in the past. (home country DL). Once I was refused at security with boarding pass issued by machine. She was not happy with my photo ID from DL. Had my pp with me so produced that. Do not know what would have been the result without pp. OP, why can't you provide pp. If it's being renewed etc don't you have old pp.
  11. First up excellent reply. I will discuss with airline at departure next week from BKK. Im trying to avoid the wheelchair. I can walk couple hundred meters. Then take a break and continue. It's more standing in a que that's the concern and that's more likely on my return in couple of weeks. So indeed will chat with airline (Jetstar) Thanks.
  12. I have read the replies. So flying out next week to Oz and return in couple of weeks into BKK. Currently have issue with leg post operation. Walking with forearm stick and standing for very long is an issue. I see link above from ThaivisaCenter. Can anyone suggest alternative to who I should contact for service to fast track. Naturally don't mind paying. Not trying to que jump just concerned long standing wait an issue/not possible.
  13. Hopefully can ask related question here. Flying to Oz next week for couple of weeks. My return will be into BKK. Currently have leg issue from operation and using a forearm stick. Standing for very long an issue. How can obtain assistance regarding long que upon arrival. I'm not trying to beat the que to save time. Have concerns. Thankyou
  14. They should have accepted bank letter from previous day..
  15. This thread covers it.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1276530-laos-pre-arrival-test/
  16. Do nothing.
  17. 6am to 10pm. You can do a border bounce same day without issue for a visa exempt entry 45days. It's not a visa. A visa run (eg tourist visa) would mean you are obtaining a visa and that is an AM apply and PM pick up the next day.
  18. Love Saigon and the visa trip you suggest can be turned into mini holiday One issue is that I vaguely remember that there is quite a difference in charge by the consulate in Saigon compared to Savannakhet. If OP is located in Bangkok then another reason to choose HCMC. BTW appointment required at HCMC now.
  19. Here are couple of transfers. One to bank account in my name 1.5 million baht arrived same day. Reason: general living expenses. Another transfer to Thai person smaller amount took couple of days. Reason : general living expenses. Note the one that took few days was started Friday completed Monday.
  20. Agree. For some reason the immigration officers seem VERY fussy and strict about this. There have been threads where someone has slipped up by eg 300baht and corrected very quickly yet still rejected. Bit weird when you think about it. Personally I leave the funds above 800k all year round. Avoids slip ups and side benefit is makes io job easier.
  21. I did clarify why the "6 months after the initial 3 months was not correct" and again post referring to 7 months " The number of months or days balance above 400k varies. What's important is to count 3months post application and 2 months prior for following application. ......requires 800k+ Not below 400k at other times. Outlined here..... "The number of months between each extension can vary as application can be made on day of expiration of permission of stay or up to 45/3O days prior. Forget the 6 month idea."
  22. So true. I had a chuckle thinking how this rider almost needs to be on every thread. In fact I believe there is an immigration office that requires the 800k THREE months prior (can't recall which office)
