  1. Has same options as any foreigner. Obtain extension etc. Entered on USA pp. In reality children (think it's under 15) are not given an overstay hence one option is to do nothing
  2. My post that you complained about stated the following... "From HH a drive to Bangkok is not ideal but not that difficult. Take a flight to Udon Thani for friendship bridge or even fly to Saigon and make a small holiday out of it.". Plus earlier suggestions. Your options are very clear. You stated this...... "If I spend several thousand EUR per month in a country I at least expect something else." Have no idea what that even means in relation to doing border bounce from HH. Myanmar is closed. The options are few and not straight forward.
  3. It would seem so however if anyone is planning on living in Thailand ongoing a poor choice would be a non O-A. As demonstrated by the many folk killing off their non O-A in order to obtain a non O based on retirement. No ongoing insurance requirement.
  4. Some folk just do not want to have money in Thai bank. Also funds not required to be kept in account with a non O-A. Prior to insurance is was excellent visa. Hard to make a case for one now.
  5. Visa exempt currently gives 45 day stamp. Tourist visa gives 60 day stamp. Both can be extended by 30 days in Thailand at immigration office. 1900baht.
  6. You can Google VOA countries for Thailand. For example India is one example. Usually 15 days currently 30. For visa exempt (also referred to as visa waiver) there are many countries that qualify. Canada is one. Usually 30 days currently 45.
  7. Not being picky but what you mean is "no limit on visa exempt entry" Visa on Arrival is something completely different. Available to certain countries.
  8. Your friend is using incorrect terminology. He means extension from a non O based on retirement (or from non O-A) There is no such thing as a "retirement visa " Shout out to Dave owner of Sport bar UT. If you visit UD chill there nice folk.
  9. Why leave it so late. You can report online and via mail and in person up to 15 days prior. You deal with CW so the mail option window most likely gone.
  10. Please give definitive definition to the term "genuine tourist" (not from Google) and "genuine reason" Thai immigration have set zero limit to visa exempt entry via air. Would be very easy to make clearly defined rules.
  11. Just the usual jerks at immigration searching for relevance. Perhaps unaware the tourism is knackered currently in Thailand. So one hand increases visa exempt to 45 days and the other hand plays games for folk entering visa exempt. Let me think.....tv 60 day vs visa exempt 45. No brainer.
  12. If you had planned ahead you could have done your 90 day report via mail. Enjoy your trip to CW. BTW the new online system has been a game changer for most. Not sure why your report was unsuccessful. For many it has been down to slight address differences. BTW ...Answered your question : CW. Then went to trouble of adding link to online . A laugh emoji.... really.
  13. So you are short changed approx a week? . Did you intend to obtain 12 month extension?
  14. You are most likely aware of this. When someone is refused entry they don't have options. They are flown back to where the flight originated from. Some advise that they were able to select where they opted to fly to. Take that with grain of salt. It's not impossible but not the norm. You have a TV. You should be fine into BKK
  15. CW. Tried the online reporting? Works a treat. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/register/add
  16. Bit off topic. Think may have read your posts previously about your pathway to monk. Is it non R? In any event if you complete that journey I'm sure there would be some interested in report regarding your journey.
  17. Yes and can bounce and reenter same day. Depending on your location personally I would prefer Nong Khai option.
  18. You are really over playing the privilege/inconvenience card. From HH a drive to Bangkok is not ideal but not that difficult. Take a flight to Udon Thani for friendship bridge or even fly to Saigon and make a small holiday out of it. Select one and stop complaining.
  19. As mentioned during a period prior to covid there were few issues at Bangkok airports . DMK possibly the worst. Still don't know why. It's a big deal to refuse you entry if you have a tourist visa. It happens but certainly not the norm. Yes you may receive a few questions which is unpleasant. Flying on route that has short last leg (eg SIN) is good idea. I would not like a direct flight from UK to Thailand.
  20. Seems he was entering on visa exempt. Bottom line he was admitted. Makes you wonder why Thailand does not have clear guidelines regarding visa exempt entries via air unlike land where it is very clear. You have a tourist visa. As I mentioned previously in your thread just fly into BKK with your tourist visa. Would be nice if the last leg was something like KL or SIN into BKK. Also another very similar report in another thread..
  21. The more I think about my experience on Wednesday and what the young io had issue with the more I believe they are (in some cases doing a job they don't fully grasp) In the attached pic. The no transactions from 15/07/21 till 02/11/21 that the io had issue with was irrelevant. Why? Because the 100deposit on 02/11/21 was the day of my previous extension. Checking of bank book for this year's extension had nothing to do with dates prior to that date. She should have been interested in the 3 months post 02/11/21 to check for the 800k+ and then rest of the months up to my application on 19/10/22. All very boring however imo she didn't have a clue. Regards consolidated transactions....I posted in another thread yesterday, where due to being on Koh Samed (no banks) for 7 months, I withdrew over 4 month period ongoing amounts of 20k. When I arrived back in Bangkok I made a deposit into that account and EVERY withdrawal was shown. Thinking the bank statements have become the norm due to keeping things simple for the clerks. (Mind you was simple already)
  22. As you are aware the TM6 card has been removed/suspended. Reason given was to speed up the process. BTW think that's weird. The TM6 is filled in prior to dealing with the io. Most of the answers to the 5 questions are provided on the TM6. The question about name and phone number of a Thai friend is straight up ridiculous.
  23. Surely that's a joke. Currently Myanmar is closed. As a result the visa/border runs from HH have reduced options.
