  1. Again....which office
  2. Which immigration office. Neither yourself or wife did not (should not) need to file a TM30.
  3. Plenty of options with METV being the backbone of it. You are allowed 2 land border entries visa exempt per calendar year. Each one can be extended by 30days.
  4. Do nothing. You entered on a reentry permit. No TM30 required. Which immigration office? Some offices still insist on using previous (outdated) rules. Thinking CM is one.
  5. Your age? The METV would give you 9 months. Fascination with Thailand? Do 9 months in Thailand followed by month or so in Vietnam and back to thailand. Current thread running on METV. Might be useful.
  6. No. This has been a nonsense over several months. He is referring is flying visa exempt without an onward flight. Most of us state something like ... "Onward flight may be required" Indeed many reports from travellers flying visa exempt from places such as UK, EU etc without issue and no onward flight. And also many reports of onward ticket being asked for by airline. In this thread I was specifically referring to short haul flights from places such as PP, Saigon etc into Bangkok. Seems the low cost airlines eg AirAsia will require an onward flight if flying without visa or reentry permit.
  7. I stated..... "Onward flight for routes I mentioned absolutely required flying visa exempt" Read slowly.
  8. Onward flight for routes I mentioned absolutely required flying visa exempt. Don't ever recall recommending carry funds however good advice if flying visa exempt as takes out that option the io has for refused entry. I have never used a agent for extensions retirement. I use money in bank method and offer advice regarding agents to those that ask for it. Your general advice is often poor.
  9. Money shown coming from abroad not required for money in bank extension. Also note that if dealing with CW then Kasikorn has a branch there however SCB does not. Kasikorn is a partner bank for Wise.
  10. Good reason you are on ignore. I can guarantee that example flight from Saigon to Bangkok WILL require an onward flight if flying without visa or reentry permit..
  11. For Agents different rules apply. Seems that the OP is obtaining the extension himself.
  12. For most the marriage option allows you to work and also the financials are far less onerous and of course for those under 50. For me the home visit along along with under consideration period would be enough reason to opt for based on retirement.
  13. That's where perhaps the confusion arose. Agents tend to use Bangkok Bank
  14. I vaguely recall that for the first cross over from based on marriage to based on retirement that you need to have your wife with you. Someone who has actually done this will be along. Of course the io will be happy with your change. Less work.
  15. Use your Kasikorn as you mention. Make sure it's increased to 800k 2 months prior to a application for extension based on retirement.
  16. I'm stating the rules. Not what some random io or office does. Previously a TM30 was required after returning from inter province AND travel outside of Thailand. Guess what. I have been in Thailand for 10 years and never ever done ONE TM30. I was dealing with CW and they were never strict on TM30. Point is my personal experience is irrelevant. I'm posting the rules. The need for TM30 for inter province and international travel was changed (think it was 2019)
  17. They are robots. I just returned from 2 weeks out of Thailand. Obviously no TM6. If I needed to do an extension today the tm6 would not be required.
  18. Haven't seen recent reports regarding Penang for multi entry non O. Here is a thread that also discusses alternatives such as HCMC and Savannakhet.
  19. Is extension based on marriage or retirement. You can obtain reentry permit at the same time as the new extension if it's retirement the date of application is when the extension starts.
  20. It does require appointment and read a recent report that there was a (not insignificant) wait time. Folk might need to plan.
  21. If you have an address on file (eg from 90 reports etc) there is no need to file a TM30 after trips abroad or inter province. Regardless if you do not go straight to your home. However if you return from abroad on a new visa or visa exempt you should file a TM30.. The laws regarding TM30 were changed few years ago.
  22. Very different. Don't Malaysians have unlimited land border entries? Also it's the Bangkok airports that sometimes have issues.
  23. 5 is way different to the OP 9. As stated earlier it depends on time out of Thailand. I suggest 3 to 6 back to back with only a couple of days out would be pure luck.
