  1. Yes I did and that is incorrect. You should read all posts from BritTim. You stated this regarding chap "assisting " Thai partner in hair salon .. I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you are not being paid a salary. That is rubbish. Same as you "assisting" your wife in her business. Sure you may get away with it but that's irrelevant. Being paid has nothing to do with it.
  2. That previously was the case. Thinking that has changed and allows non Thai insurance companies. Thinking that change occured Sept last year? When there was change in required coverage
  3. For TM7 they basically accept any passport size photo. Not fussy at all.
  4. Agree. Perhaps the OP has done the basic research on maximum fine being 20k which equates to 40days+
  5. Should not be an issue. You could consider Vietnam. Depending on your pp country you may require a e-visa
  6. An overstay in Thailand does not affect returning. What is more important is time spent in Thailand leading up to the overstay. From memory I think that you had another recent thread outlining significant stay in Thailand?
  7. From the OP.... "I'm got my e-visa approved today 11th." Someone suggested enter Thailand visa exempt and not use the e-Visa. Subsequently do a border bounce and reenter using the e-Visa (SETV) I don't believe the border bounce (land entry) will work.
  8. There has been few threads on this. One was post of someone obtaining an e-Visa for Thailand from London. Then doing a side strip on route to Bangkok. https://aseannow.com/topic/1269388-obtaining-an-evisa-while-outside-of-your-home-country/ There is random info from Mr google that seems to indicate entry is via designated points of entry. Haven't seen land border entries.... eg..,.... Applicants can use the Thai eVisa on arrival to enter the country through the following designated International Airports: Bangkok – Suvarnabhumi International Airport – BKK. Bangkok – Don Mueang International Airport – DMK.
  9. I'm not so sure about that.
  10. Find your thread strange. First up only your first extension from a non O retirement starts your 90 day report count. After that that the 90 day report has nothing to do with annual extensions. Regards your extensions from a Non O-A, almost everyone has ditched that and moved to a Non O retirement or if married to Thai changed based on retirement to based on marriage as both those options avoid silly insurance requirements. Weird thread.
  11. Perhaps not dealing directly with thread. I have purchased few properties in Thailand into Thai partner name. The thing that I find amazing in Thailand is that at Land office, the official seems to check out out everything on both sides of the purchase. Example clear title and mortgage etc.
  12. Variations to your question have come up since the introduction of e-visa. One recent thread a guys tourist e-Visa (UK) was not approved in time and arrived in Thailand visa exempt. Subsequently he received his approved e-Visa. Was then asking if he could do a border bounce and enter with his e-Visa or alternatively fly out of Thailand eg to Vietnam and return with e-Visa. Some folk actively looking to exploit this poorly introduced "e-Visa" One example ....obtain your e-Visa and knowingly enter Thailand without producing it on arrival and be given 30 day stamp. Then use it later.
  13. They advised to obtain a SETV or visa exempt with extension. The latter would be popular choice.
  14. Nonsense in the example you provided. The immigration officer provided false information.
  15. Yes. You have flight to Laos already so some posts including mine are off topic. A screenshot of your flight within the 30 days will satisfy airline.
  16. You can apply for 30 day extension at immigration where you are staying. Does not not need to be Bangkok. Prior to attending immigration you need to obtain TM30 from the hotel where you are staying. If you are staying with eg friends you need to clarify.
  17. That would be my post. I explained the options to cover onward flight requirements. Buy a throw away flight. Use site such as "onwardticket.com" Have a return flight outside of 30 days however explaining intention to obtain 30 day extension. Ask for supervisor and sign a waiver. All of which have been reported with success in recent times. I have never read a report of airline refusing the "rent a flight" option. To the contrary recent reports of no issue. Even if there was ...step away and book throw away. eg Bangkok to Saigon 1500 baht. Takes one minute. Post a refused entry when using options I outlined. Just Scaremongering Some confused emoji from some folk unfamiliar with options.
  18. Depending on which country you could obtain a ME Non O based on marriage. That visa provides for stay of 12+ months and each entry gives a 90 day stamp. You could obtain a non O based on marriage and subsequent 12 month extension. There are also other options. Personally would not bring daughter into it as carer with other options available Many threads cover this
  19. If refused boarding pass at departure he could have stepped away from counter and booked a "rent a ticket" . Popular site is "onwardticket.com" Takes a minute. $12usd. However most likely not required as he has return ticket at 37days. Many reports of airline accepting explanation of intention to obtain 30 day extension especially with return flight to show.
  20. Without outlining which various tourist visas you used as a tourist and visa exempt entries + plus maybe non ED etc. "Stayed continuously" mean exactly that apart from brief time out of Thailand. Even with covid concessions your 5.5 year stay in Thailand as a tourist is ludicrous.
  21. You should have posted prior to buying onward flight. In any event your best option would have been to fly to Thailand visa exempt for 30 day entry stamp and prior to expiry obtain 30 day extension. Simple process at immigration office. 1900baht. If you decide to go to Laos and return via land border you would receive 30 day stamp. Unless you have desire to visit Laos then the option you outline is crazy
  22. Continuously means almost zero days spent out. METV and visa exempt via border bounces can mean minimal time out of Thailand. So you were refused in Savannakhet but successful at Vientiane. So in the last 12 months you did not mention a METV. Many would like to know the recipe.
  23. Good report. Another option is for OP to wait till his next extension and make an appointment for the extension and the io can do transfer and then process the extension application. Recently I required a certificate of residence and there is no appointment for that. However I made appointment for 90 day report and the io processed the TM47 photocopied it and then processed the COR. Very helpful service.
  24. Interesting. So the OP has been in Thailand for over a year on metv and border bounces with extensions. Very little if any time spent out of Thailand. You state that you have "considerably more history". Care to outline.
  25. The extension counters can do the stamp transfer of stamps. L32 and others in that area. Thinking appointment can be made here. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
