  1. Pretty much exactly what I advised earlier. Then you quoted me with this. ..,".how about his timing issue" BTW he does not require agent.
  2. His first extension would be 30 days. After that he has options to border bounce for visa exempt entries 2 times per calendar year. Each entry can be extended by 30 days . He can also obtain tourist visa from nearby eg Vientiane and obtain. 30 day extension.
  3. Attached is screenshot from agent about this couple hours ago. I don't support that message. My understanding is validity one month for DTL.
  4. I'm finding this strange. Prior to your post I put it down to misunderstanding. That those with just transferring last entry stamp could do this at airport as they exit ... whereas those with extensions (eg annual extensions retirement or marriage) would need to do this at immigration office where extension was issued. So begs the question why are there not lot more reports of having it done at departure from airports..
  5. The alternative would be to enter visa exempt and obtain your non O retirement in Thailand. With money in place simple option and avoids insurance requirement.
  6. I prefer to do it myself. Download TM8. Also some basic photocopies of pp. Requires photo. OR If you have them do it you basically just pay the 200 service fee. You provide nothing.
  7. Zone 2 after security check and prior to passport control. The office offers a fill in form with photo service 200baht. Open 24 hours. Re Covid certificate....I use the Mor Prom app to send certificate. BTW condolences.
  8. Haven't made one for ages. Check your spam folder. Hopefully someone will be along that has done one recently. Edit: BTW take hard copy of your confirmation to appointment.

  10. Re agent: you could have a chat with Maneerat Agent, soi post office see what they can do for you.
  11. 15 days is enough but this all depends on them accepting the 800k in your bank. Also think cutting it too fine. The covid extension is only 1900 baht and would give you time to sort things out. Which immigration office? Some require more than 15 days for non O application. Think CM is 21
  12. You will be able to obtain 60 day covid extension and you would need that even if money wasn't the issue. So apply for the CE and ask about the banking situation. Regarding agent... where are you located
  13. Earlier you mentioned you are on visa exemption. You would be required to obtain the standard 30 day extension prior to covid extension. Currently CE due to end Aug 25. Keep in mind to apply for your non O you require 15+ days on your current permission of stay.
  14. Don't beat yourself up. Your fall back plan b is to obtain a non O retirement at consulate outside of Thailand eg Vientiane, Saigon etc. The proof funds came from abroad not required non O retirement and not for extensions. Alternatively talk with your immigration office about banking history. However don't think you will get much joy. You did bring in 500k cash.
  15. In earlier post you described having stamps transferred at BKK airport. So what stamp was transferred. I'm thinking you don't have 12 month extension stamp and reentry permit?
  16. When I had my stamps transferred at CW (where they were issued)....no problem, however when I then went to reentry permit counter at CW they told me that they couldn't transfer my reentry permit as it was issued at DMK. As someone else also posted above...very surprised that option of transferring at airport is possible. Never seen it mentioned in reports and transfer of stamps to new pp comes up often.
  17. Indeed. When I last had stamps transferred I just traveled with both passports for many months flying out every month. Did that to avoid trip to CW as not very convenient. Had them transferred when time for extension. Hopefully our man ubonjoe can clear it up..
  18. Surprised. I was under impression that stamps must be transfered at immigration office where extension, reentry permit etc was issued. In your case you had visa information placed into new pp along with current extension stamp etc? Did you have a reentry permit also. If this is possible I'm really surprised that folk don't just use the airport to transfer stamps when they have a trip out.
  19. Are you married to a Thai or have Thai child? If yes then you can obtain a 60 day extension to visit. That extension can be obtained once per entry.
  20. You can obtain a non O based on marriage or retirement from your visa exempt entry. The based on marriage option has less onerous financial requirements than based on marriage however involves more paperwork and possibly home visit.. The choice is yours.
  21. The female io is wrong. You can obtain a non O marriage from your visa exempt entry.
  22. The onward flight needs to be within 30 days if flying visa exempt
