  1. I was replying to someone else. Forums are not only for factual information but also personal views and opinions. Do you have something constructive to post.
  2. Think you have asked this a few times. You think of it as two separate extensions. It's one extension and you were given an under consideration period. In reality its already approved. You are returning just to be rubber stamped. Think of it as automatic.
  3. That would not apply in your case. The pattern of visa exempt plus extension followed by exit Thailand (briefly) and return.... Wash and repeat. That is not your pattern.. No need to rush the non O and extension. When that happens you can buy a multi reentry permit. Exit and return as often as you wish.
  4. Playing semantics. You apply for the non O at immigration office where your living..
  5. They might do it 45 days early with evidence your flying out. How early do you actually need to do the extension. How long is your trip out. Why not push back the non O and extension. Enter again after trip visa exempt and do it all then
  6. In that case I don't know if you will be able to obtain covid extensions post Jan 25. The new covid extension "guidelines" seem unclear. In any event my personal view is that covid extensions should not be available to folk that can obtain annual extensions based on marriage or retirement.
  7. Just to be clear. You are able to obtain extension marriage but cannot meet the money in bank requirement? The dust needs to settle on new announcement regarding covid rules. Clearly your not 50+ as the extension retirement would be better option. You do realize that the 400k only has to be in bank for approx 3 months (including under consideration period)
  8. And currently not possible (without great difficulty) to nearby countries for either visa or exempt reentry. Hence covid extensions. Most likely to continue untill some normality with land borders. Anyway tired of this (your) nonsense.
  9. And who would want one. You need to exit Thailand. Oh sorry you meant go to Savannakhet to obtain one. What's the plan....nick up to Nong Khai border. Talk sense.
  10. I suggested he look in marriage/divorce forums at the start of this thread to find topics like this. Wealth of information, however according to you forums are waste of time.
  11. Most of them are num skulls. The OP at this point has given very few details. First hand experience here in Thailand in my thinking is very useful. Have you been in OP situation in Thailand. Do you personally have recommendation for a lawyer. Put up. Lot depends on OP situation. Lawyer could be like throwing KERO on a fire..
  12. You can obtain extension based on marriage. Can use money in bank method. So you have easy option.
  13. Which land borders are open. Flights available? Yippi I might nip over to Saigon this weekend for some Saigon Green 15k dong in Bui Vien street and nip back.
  14. Oh someone with first hand experience with Thai lawyers. Great. So name one. I'm sure the OP can obtain an appointment quickly..
  15. Clearly you know very little of visa options for those under 50 and not married to a Thai national. BTW long term visa was never a requirement to stay many months in S.E.A when borders were open..
  16. Me either. I don't often mention the economic benefits to Thailand for having the covid extensions as I feel the border issue and of course pandemic situation is far more the issue. However for those living here we have seen first hand the devastation to tourist industry. Any folk that can remain here and spend dosh is a positive.
  17. You only need insurance for 30 days for entry. Are your entering visa exempt or tourist visa. If entering with tourist visa best to obtain 60 day coverage. Afterwards no insurance required.
  18. Perhaps I'm seeing this differently. In my mind the covid extensions are due to the covid pandemic situation. The thing is land borders are closed. We all know that before covid spoilt the party there were many options to have medium to longer term stay in Thailand. That involved visas, visa exempt entries, border bounce, border runs for visa, flight to places such as Vietnam for either visa exempt or with visa reentry Thailand. None of that's possible. Covid extensions should continue till some normality returns to land borders. The "go back to your own country" brigade are just the mindless types we all have to put up with. I'm on retirement extensions. No personal issues for me staying here, however have gone into bat over long period for those obtaining covid extensions. Now with immigration officers (some) playing games, I hope they stop their nonsense. Some places demanding outbound flight. Some (HH) demanding embassy letter, etc. Damn disgrace.
  19. No offense but you have caused yourself lot of stress. In particular leading up to the last day. Jan 25. Yes the covid extensions have been continued but as usual announcement left till last minute. You could have used an agent to have your covid extension commence from end of current permit (it's not a visa) and also no under consideration period. Approx cost 5k. Easy peasey.
