  1. Do you have printout showing confirmed payment? Airline would not check booking. Check in early and in absolute worse case scenario be ready to book online another flight. Obviously you would need wifi access and credit card etc to pay.
  2. It would seem so. Back in amnesty times the non O volunteering + extension was popular. All pre covid extensions. Seems to have gone up by 15k. No idea why. The OP can speak with agents in Phuket. Personally I'm not familiar.
  3. Enter with tourist visa. Obtain 30 day extension. 60+ 30. Obtain a non O retirement (need place 800k in Thai bank. Yes you said you don't want to). Withdraw money as you wish. Money only needed in bank on the day you apply for non O That gives 90 day stay. All up 6 months. Or pay an agent ~ 25k for non O and extension or just the non O. Cost obviously less if no extension. No money in bank required.
  4. OP, sorry can't advise at all as never dealt with Phuket. Just a suggestion. Perhaps if you post in local forums (Phuket) you might receive some local info. Apparently the price has gone up a lot, don't know why. Assume that you entered Thailand visa exempt or tourist visa and under 50.
  5. That's correct. Keep in mind that someone obtaining an STV now, will hopefully be in a different situation in 9 months time. Meaning if some land borders are open at that time, the opportunity to exit and reenter would be possible
  6. It's not done that way. An agent almost certainly would not be using the immigration office where you live and not Bangkok.
  7. From the OP............... "I have more than the required amount in the bank and had I known that I couldn’t switch to an extension based on marriage it would have been there for the time necessary"... Im not 100% sure, however since the op had an Non O-A, I was under the impression that the first extension has to be based on retirement at some imm offices. Even if that's not the case his immigration office has indicated issue with extension marriage..
  8. Does not have to be return ticket. Can be any onward flight. You could purchase cheapest one available.
  9. Unusual question in that a throw away onward ticket is minimal expense. How old are you. Reason being that length of visa required to some extent depends on age.
  10. So that's what about 846k. That's bit over one day supply with the # of vaccinations stated given most days.
  11. Online the 90 day starts from date you do it. In person and via mail the 90 count starts from your due date.
  12. OP, take it you now have the 800k in your Thai bank account. When does your permission of stay end. It's on stamp in pp. Obtain a covid extension. That gives you 60 days permission of stay. Then apply for your 12 month extension based on retirement.
  13. No all immigration offices would not have that list. CW is Chaengwattana immigration. Bangkok. Your list applies to your immigration office.
  14. Thanks for that. I'm heading there next week and K bank closed would have been a pain.
  15. Sorry overlooked that you mentioned your imm office. No offense but each office often has different requirements. The OP is dealing with CW.
  16. That's great. Could you write a mini report later of your experience today at CW. Always helpful for others even if it's just a check list to confirm docs they are taking. BTW...you didn't consider obtaining queue # first then going to the bank?
  17. Without an agent your option is STV.. You say cannot obtain a non O. What you mean is non O retirement or marriage. An agent will obtain a non O based on education or volunteering etc and extension. Agent non O volunteering +extension is expensive. I would not be hopeful re covid extensions ongoing. Goes without saying that deferring trips to Thailand is best option. Many coming for family so that's understandable. Coming for tourism is strange.
  18. OP, sounds abrupt, however if your intention is to use an agent to obtain the non O based on ED or volunteering OR do you actually wish to attend class in order to learn Thai. Best to state that and people can advise.
  19. By mail The requirements for 90 day reporting by mail are: Photocopy of passport pages with following pages front page showing name / surname / Passport No., etc. current visa last entry stamp of immigration last extension of visa Copy of arrival/departure card TM. 6 (front and back) Previous notifications of staying over 90 days (if any) Completely filled in and signed notification form TM. 47 Envelope with 5 Baht stamp affixed and return address of foreigner for the officer in charge to send back the lower part of form TM. 47 after having received the notification. This part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days. 90 day reports by mail need to be sent by registered mail Mailed report must be received within 15 to 7 days before the report report. Note: use 10baht for return and send EMS. Use B4 envelopes and immigration will return your photocopies and new TM47 (at CW not sure about Jomtien)
  20. Prior to covid it was very easy to come to Thailand and with border runs and extensions very simple. Currently that is not possible. Your better off to state how long you wish to stay in Thailand. Meaning regardless of initial entry, be that visa exempt or tourist visa, what's the plan after that.
  21. Depends how long plan to stay in Thailand and if applying for a non O after arrival. Added note. For tourist visa you will need to have flight INTO Thailand as part of the application for the TV.
  22. You won't have an issue. As you pointed out...you should have been stamped in till about Nov 21. I would apply for my next extension say Nov 20. Applying couple of weeks prior to your Dec 3 permit expiry stamp is normal. The example given by someone of 90 given at entry instead of 30 is serious and would most likely result in overstay even though it was io error.
