  1. Slogan: Down the Drain. Just post pre covid and current pictures of just one example. Ratchada Night Train Market.
  2. No worries. Hope you have swift recovery. The term "extension to visit wife" can be misleading. However it's just a 60 day extension available to married folk. Expert will be along to confirm that's indeed an option for you. Heck, I can't even see why you couldn't obtain a covid extension to buy some time. It's also 60 days and can be applied up till Nov 26. The 60 days should be added onto your current permit expiry.
  3. You can get a 60 day extension to visit wife. Don't know what's going on.
  4. I wouldn't say it makes common sense. I can see it going both ways. Time will tell.
  5. You will require no insurance for your extension unless of course you had a non O-A. Even then it's 40/400k. The info you related is incorrect
  6. I can understand the argument. Keep in mind that covid extensions will not continue forever. Currently you could obtain one late Nov and that would see you through till end Jan. With quarantine set to end at some stage. It's possible covid extensions will end. If it was easy to exit and reenter Thailand next year then you could obtain a new non O based on retirement and extensions do not require insurance. Personally I would stick with obtaining extension from your non O-A. Might be more expensive but much more simple. Review the situation in 12 months.
  7. Ok, so what your saying is that prior to Nov 11 you will be obtaining first extension. This next advice I'm not sure about and best wait for expert advice. @ubonjoe I was under (vague) impression that the first extension to non O-A had to be based on retirement.
  8. No offense but your not 100% clear. You mention that you used an agent for current extension based on retirement. Did you actually follow the financial requirements or did the agent "bypass" the money in bank requirements. If you did not adhere to financial requirements then that's the issue. Be clear as to what the agent actually did for you for existing extension.
  9. Think your referring to annual extensions. They can be renewed up to 30 and some imm offices 45 days prior to expiry. For extensions to visa exempt entry and tourist visa entries, I suggest that you apply from couple of weeks prior to expiry up to expiry. In similar way for 60day covid extensions, I would apply for next one in similar timeframe mentioned above.
  10. I would suggest to apply for extension in the last coupe of weeks. I have never seen a rule quoted that covers your question. Go too early and immigration may ask you to apply later.
  11. Thats your opinion and possibly shared by others. Personally my thinking is that fully vaccinated folk also showing negative test before and after flight should not require quarantine.
  12. For sure. I always make sure I have everything downloaded and filled in when it comes to forms, photos etc. Even things such as reentry permits. The stall you mention downstairs at CW also enable you to forward an email to them and have them print.
  13. Not sure your current expiry of permission of stay. Try and obtain another covid extension after this one towards end of November. Personally I would download the affidavit that ubonjoe posted link to. Doesn't hurt to have it with you.
  14. I'm really surprised. However with 3 quotes I can't doubt your comment. By contrast I helped a couple of friends through an agent back in the amnesty days obtain non O and 12 month extension (volunteering) Then it was ~35k. In one case it ended up slightly more. 39k from memory. Perhaps the agent included 90 reports or whatever. So that's a big increase.
  15. A non O visa followed by 12 month extension is not a multi entry. He has indicated that he has a full page sticker. Sounds like a non O-A. I also attached pic of that. On his sticker he has a M (for multi entry). It's not an extension. His OP was far from clear.
  16. How did you enter Thailand. Tourist visa or visa exempt or.... You will need standard photocopies of pp. Identity page entry stamp. Most recent visa if any. Departure card..... If you entered visa exempt you will attend MTT. If tourist visa CW.
  17. Did you miss this advice from ubonjoe earlier...... 1. You have to do it the office that issued your extension of stay. Also I posted that if you happen to obtain reentry permit somewhere else such as airport you also need to have it transfered where it was issued.
  18. Here is pic on a non O-A. Under number of entries it has 'M' then your good to go. You still didn't mention type of visa. It's under "type of visa"
  19. Its 1000 single and 3800 multiple at airport. Same as immigration. At Swampy they provide optional "fill in form provide picture" etc service for 200baht. OP note that reentry permit office at Swampy is after security check and before passport control. Zone 2.
  20. 15 month visa? Do you have a reentry permit in passport. Should have word multiple or single on it. What's your current permission of stay. Mean on entry stamp has date of entry and admitted until date. Pic of reentry permit. Available at airport and at immigration. Sounds like you might have stamps obtained by agent as you mentioned 15 month visa?
  21. How did you enter Thailand. Tourist visa, visa exempt etc... And since then been on covid extensions? Where are you located. Obviously your not 50+ years.
  22. Not being a S.A but I'm guessing you leave on the basis they decide upon. They could argue that you "signed up" to 14 and 14 it is. Maybe crazy yes. Time will tell.
