Yes I have 2. I went for the walker to 2 sticks and then 1. So the doctor dismissed infection as expected with no redness or pain when pressure applied, no fever etc. His opinion is that I have over done the walking. Recently doing sections holding the one stick away from ground. Anyway had a shot in arm and other meds which just amount to anti inflammatory and pain suppressors. Return tomorrow to see my doctor who assisted head surgeon. Doctor today seems to think I will be fine in few days. Perhaps bit tight for Tuesday night flight. Many offices were starting the 60 days from day of application if it was your First covid extension. Subsequent ones were starting from expiry date of extension

They do that at DMK as reentry permit office is airside of passport control. It's not about the non O-A vs non O. The switched immigration officers would also do that at BKK

Your non O-A is valid for one year. During that validity you are stamped in for 12 months every time you enter Thailand. It's a multi entry visa. You need to be outside of Thailand without a reentry permit and the non O-A has expired

If you obtain non O outside Thailand eg Vientiane, it is not required to show funds came from abroad. If obtaining non O inside Thailand it is required. However for those with the funds in Thai bank for some time then immigration overlook that requirement

OP, assuming that you are on extensions based on retirement then you would have all the financials, bank account etc in place. Just exit without a reentry permit and reenter visa exempt. Go to immigration and apply for non O. Two months later obtain your 12 month extension.

Just for anyone curious about cost of ambulance... I live 65baht taxi from hospital and the ambulance was 5000baht so I went with first option. BTW never been on a Saturday previously..... clearly a day to avoid if you have choice.

OP, if you are looking for a tourist visa I would consider Saigon, especially as you are located in Bangkok. Add few days and make it a trip. For Visa exempt reentry just quickest border.

Seems you plan to obtain a non O retirement. To do that you require 800k in your Thai bank account on day of application. You need to do that with 15+ days left on you current permit. From another thead you stated that you have a standard 30 extension that ends on Sept 11 and asked about possibility of obtaining a covid extension. Yes that's possible however needs to be done by Aug 24. This is why you are referring to 90 day extension 30+60. VERY confusing. Yes you can do that and exit Thailand and obtain a non O when you reenter.... If you wish to return within the time the covid extension gives you then you will need to purchase a single reentry permit 1000baht. Finally your seasoning of funds is not affected buy your time outside of Thailand.

So started a thread several weeks ago re hip replacement. Currently 10 weeks post op. All was going very well. No pain and while progress was slow it was steady. Was just doing corridor walking routines every day using one walking stick with arm rest. Amounts to about 3km per day. So yesterday morning woke with pain that is worse today. Basically can walk (with stick) very short distance. Also painful even when sitting laying etc. I have flight to Oz next Tuesday. Going to my doctor on Sunday. Finally my question... Has anyone in similar situation had a cortisone injection. It's not an option I would be happy about but apart from cancelling my plans not sure what else I can do.
