  1. The two extensions have very different financial requirements.
  2. Can you help me out here. So 15,014 + from "walk-in" tests. How many in total walked in for a test. Meaning how many negatives. Do people need a negative test for work or...? Why go for a test unless you feel poorly. Of the tests in clusters how many test were performed to obtain the 2,470. Finally how many random tests were carried out. I do not mean know problem areas, rather tests in the general population. Edit: can I add re your other post. Do pregnant women seem to have disproportionate representation in deaths. No idea.
  3. Your prerogative..... just means that you often won't receive useful information.
  4. As I mentioned earlier currently 60 day covid extensions available and that most likely will continue. You can obtain yourself its not difficult or agent can act on your behalf. Depends how long you wish to stay in Thailand.
  5. OP, you have it covered and also require onward flight. You can try "rent a flight" services on Google.
  6. OP, sounds like you just want an visa education to enable stay Thailand. Suggest you arrive visa exempt and access your options then. Initially you can obtain 30 day extension to your exempt entry and covid extension (assuming they continue...they will)
  7. I realize numbers for Vietnam jump around a bit. What's with the 687 deaths! Did they accumulate the weekend numbers? What's going on there.
  8. My reason for wanting to be vaccinated prior to coming to Thailand was not about avoiding positive test. Rather it's that obtaining vaccination in Thailand is not easy. I have received my first AZ at Bang Sue and that was a Zoo. Next jab is 12 weeks after the first. Anyone coming to Thailand currently without being vaccinated is nuts.
  9. Only a guess ....but maybe if they did PCR tests then they would need to include them in daily positives. That wouldn't be good.
  10. Hanoi Times was suggesting sandbox on Phu Quoc........ I thought they were more clever than that. Most likely on back burner now since Saigon going downhill.
  11. Why not mail it. Very simple process. Do it 15 days prior to due date.
  12. Lot of folk in your situation. Myself included on Oct 19. How would you react to being offered Sinovac if no AZ available at that time?
  13. Personally, I think this is best policy if folk can afford to set aside the 800k (mothballing as you call it). While not a requirement, I think folk should have a designated "extension bank account" and separate one for all their day to day banking.
  14. Enter visa exempt. Your married to a Thai and over 50 so when in Thailand obtain a non O based on marriage or retirement at immigration. That will give you 90 day stay. In that time organize financials for 12 month extension. If you can afford it, personally I would stick 800k in Thai bank account in your name only never touch it and go the retirement route. Very simple for ongoing extensions.
  15. Extension will be given to date of expiry of passport. Why not renew passport
  16. 2 months prior to application. Not below 800k for 3 months post. Then not below 400k after that and Back up to 800k 2 months prior to following extension
  17. Step 1 to open up the country to tourists. What a wonderful holiday.
  18. The 150k doses have arrived from Bhutan so guessing might be able to knock out 650k jabs per day next week.
  19. Someone is getting vaccine if you believe the numbers for last 5 days. (posted earlier by anchadian) Every day over 500k. Amazing. DAY 71: 508,498. (Monday) DAY 72: 518,118 DAY 73: 548,311 DAY DAY 74: 651,606 DAY 75: 609,435 Actually were not these vaccination # not including the boosters?
  20. Simple question ....how does it work for sandbox folk traveling to say Koh Samui. I have read the transport guidelines. So what is open for them once there? Restaurants, bars etc.... How does that work for expats already there. Perhaps living there etc. The travel from Phuket to Krabi and other destinations sounds like a pita.
  21. Not to mention Twitter post of protest control. Shocking.
  22. Might sound harsh but I would not return to Thailand without being fully vaccinated.
  23. Indeed from Myanmar and seems very difficult situation. I wonder if anyone in similar situation has had success. R has been very active trying but without luck.
  24. There was report of exactly this situation. A chap did ASQ at Bangkok. He had returned to Thailand and was not vaccinated. Tested positive few days into stay. He was removed and taken to hospitel. (Hotel). Stated it was horrible. 3 meals/day often cold in plastic box. His health cover paid all. I would not return to Thailand without being vaccinated. True not bullet proof but better than nothing.
  25. Surprised. Will be interesting to see if he is given Pfizer for second jab. You would think so.
