  1. One night. First up ask if hotel can/will do file the TM30. Also provide you with screenshot. It's just a one line strip.
  2. Everytime advice is given to folk asking about agents is... Rule #1 ...Always deal with a well know agent. Two random examples would be ThaivisaCenter in Bangkok. Maneerat in Pattaya etc. Many others.
  3. Would not change things. Your earlier post stating that you might revisit idea of border runs etc. Not a long term solution. Be aware that MANY folk living long term in Thailand use agents. Don't listen to the negative posts about this option. They have axe to grind. For the record I don't use an agent however as father time catches up it is firmly on my radar.
  4. No worries. If you are staying at a hotel and they have filed a TM30 they can provide you with screenshot of the report.
  5. If the agent is doing the 90 reports they won't do a change of address. The issue with the reports not being done where you live can have issues for such things as obtaining a TDL. Discuss with the agent that you use.
  6. Visa fees (+ 2000 baht in case of something inexpected happening) The fee for extension is 1900baht. 2. Print out TM7 prior or fill in form at immigration...Up to you. 3. TM6 not required. 4. Yes 5. You should provide a TM30 6. No exit flight required
  7. OP, added note to the sound advice already given. When you register there is a temporary password given in email. Reset that to one more suitable.
  8. Almost certainly the stamps will be obtained up country. It would be possible to do a change of address (TM30) to where you are living.
  9. Think you will find it is an "optional extra" Along with reentry permit and bank account
  10. You may wish to discuss 90 day reporting with the agent..
  11. Complete nonsense. What is important is to use a well know company. From the OP...... "I am planning to go and see a well known agent ....."
  12. The first hit if using agent will be approx 30k which is for the non O and extention. Every year from then will be approx 15k per extension. Obviously you require a reentry permit.
  13. As others have pointed out. You go to immigration to have stamps and visa info transfered. There is no fee. You can wait till the day you are applying for extension and have it done same visit.
  14. Not brilliant at all. In fact if you read every post in the thread ...the op has realized his personal experience counts for very little. There currently is another thread outlining the issue. The OP is serial poster on this topic. Due to so many counter posts in this thread hopefully will cease bad advice.
  15. No. It needs to be back up to 800k two months prior to day of application. Has nothing to do with expiry of your permission of stay.
  16. Where do you live. That often is part of choosing agent
  17. My guess is this (ridiculous) thread will implode very soon. Better suited to general chat forum.
  18. Bit lost in translation. What I mean is that the funds must be readily available and no penalities for withdrawal. So savings accounts and most FD accounts satisfy the financial requirements for immigration purposes.
  19. Didn't know that was an option.
  20. Go to immigration and pay overstay if any at same time as applying for extension. OR exit Thailand and reenter visa exempt. You don't need anyone telling you that leaving any extension till last minute can end in tears.....but I am to warn others.
  21. Don't know how you do it Sheryl. Great memory. Yes I'm on anticoagulant due to previous two DVT and one PE. That was 5+ years ago. This blowout has certainly set me back few steps. Also now have numbness in genitals and general region. Just posting this to make people aware that sometimes we have setbacks. Hospital yesterday and they booked a MRI for Monday. Have decided to push that till I'm back in Oz November 18. Having said that my sister works in health and has advised that the wait times even for appointments with GP has grown significantly. Mention this for any Oz folk thinking that they can nip back to Australia for various treatments.
  22. Plan you outline is fine. Since you are not married you need to tick the boxes as being the father. Obviously on birth certificate etc. The border entries you outline will work no issue.. You would obtain the extensions at immigration office where you are living.. You have your reasons re not going the marriage option. As you would be aware that is very simple way to obtain non O based on marriage in Thailand or ME Non O from Savannakhet.
  23. Is LMG the cheapest insurance? Think it was previously with a large deductible. OP, not being too helpful to your situation but for others considering a non O retirement.....entering visa exempt and then obtaining the non O inside Thailand avoids the insurance requirement.
  24. True. And in your first post you stated the following..... "I continued using a Non O after a divorce until it expired and never had any problems." If you had stated "I continued using a ME Non O ......." I would have known that you had a 12 month visa. In that case divorce does not cause an issue.
