Haven't seen one report of non O multi from Savannakhet since covid. Also you (keep) referring to borders are open.... By borders most understand that to be land borders. Not open to tourists as far as I'm aware. Even if possible what about reentry to Thailand. IMO not workable.

Yes I missed the Laos part. Sorry. Cambodia opened up flights into Phnom Penh and I had been in other threads about that. What was your non O based on? If you have been on covid extensions you can apply for annual extension based on marriage or retirement if you qualify. Are you hoping to obtain multi entry non O marriage as Savannakhet? Think annual extension better option. If financials are the issue consider an agent (retirement) if 50+

Sounds like your a farang with a temporary permission of stay. Most likely 12 months at a time.

Make sure you never fly Jetstar, AirAsia Scoot etc etc. Because you MUST have onward flight. Anyway think done with this sideshow.

The ticket that the airline may/would ask for does not need to be return ticket or out of same airport. Any onward flight out of Thailand is sufficient.

My experience is the opposite. Depends on airline to some extent. To peddle information that it's not required is imo reckless.

I don't do well dealing with recalcitrant people. If I was in that situation I would just use an agent. Too many megalomaniacs in Thai immigration.. BTW I would be asking Australian embassy for email and they wouldn't give you the time of the day let alone an embassy email. Even if/when land borders open at this point the reentry requirements are unknown. Quarantine etc. Can't see it happening soon. The OP made no reference to covid extensions. If continued might be a better option for foreseeable future.

Yes immigration offices have their individual requirements (sadly) What did the letter you supplied look like. State what exactly. This OP is dealing with CW so that's not a requirement there.

Generally in PP it's best to use agent for TV. This often is not overnight like places such as Saigon. The OP is typing about obtaining a Non O.. IMO thinking he would be best to return to Thailand visa exempt and obtain the non O in Thailand.

OP, no problem. I assume your money has been in bank for some time (previous extensions). In that instance no need to demonstrate funds came from overseas for your non O retirement application.

Fly to PP. Do the whole thing for reenter which currently would include 7 days quarantine or use the Phuket sandbox. Then obtain non O at immigration. All the info for that is in many threads. Your state this is your OP... "Has anybody done a visa run recently?" I mean seriously that's out there. Borders are currently closed. Covid extensions may be continued and possibly your best option if available to you.

Bars entertainment etc have had a very different run than places such as Pattaya.

As they say..up to you. Don't know where the SHA+ Hotels are in Phuket but I'm sure there are ones in quiet areas. I find Ao Nang beach unpleasant and to get to any islands you will be bunched up in your travels. Not good idea. Phuket you could be in busy or quiet locations.

The io would not give any advice in that regard. Seems that the OP checked into dodgy hotel. I've never needed one in 10 years but couple years back there was big crack down on TM30. Even CW were fining folk. From memory 800baht. The point is at that time I went to my condo office and asked them to do a TM30 and provide me with screenshot. They basically did it on the spot. (I never used it as the crackdown ended) The OP,s issue is the Hotel he is staying at..

Think the original one (way back) was far more restrictive. To each their own...I couldn't spend 2 nights there.

Dont follow. You state "our office" Then refer to experience at CW. I have never had issue with CW. Attached is my EMS last week. Delivery to CW overnight even when I post from Koh Samet which is often.

The previous complaints were justified as MANY had zero success. The new system seems to be significant improvement. Were you previous reports using the "old system" successful?

This was at CW? Hard to tell what the issue was. How long was the 400k in your account?
