The 2010 Copiapó mining accident began as a cave-in on 5 August 2010 at the San José copper-gold mine in the Atacama Desert near Copiapó, Chile. The accident left 33 men trapped 700 meters (2,300 ft) below ground who survived underground for a record 69 days.[1][2] All 33 men were rescued and brought to the surface on 13 October 2010 over a period of almost 24 hours. After the last trapped miner was winched to the surface, the rescue workers still underground held up a sign before the camera stating “Misión cumplida Chile” (English: “Mission accomplished Chile”) to the estimated more than 1 billion people watching the rescue on live television around the world.[3]
I hope these kids make it .......

No point in spreading ignorance.
Oxygen tanks usually have green tops (although some dive oxygen is in blue cylinders).
Air tanks contain mainly nitrogen (78%), so no reason to call them oxygen tanks.
Sometimes it’s reading these posts that you pick up info that could poss change lives, I now know what is in these tanks so thanks.

Merkel is in a hole. Her closest coalition partner is not happy about immigration. She could be forced to have another election. She doesn't want that. She needs an immigration quick fix.
Greece needs cash. There are many ways to give a country money. Move a few due dates around. Play with the terms of the loan, etc.
You scratch my back, I'll scratch your back.
So she’s going to use EU money specifically for Germany .?

Also, they were not asleep while the PM was presenting the budget plan, the NLA vice president said. They fell asleep only when other legislators were debating the issue, he added.

Sure they can, but can't identify the driver or if their licence is upto date and is the cars owner. At best can check for current road tax, any outstanding infringements for the car and for the registered owner.
thankyou
my original post was meant to be a little bit tongue in cheek

Thanks for being predictable.
I have never suggested that anyone risk conflict with violently insane Thais.
Even macho macho men possibly like you are that are so brave insulting people behind your keyboard shouldn't because you might be dealing with a mob.
As I said I temporary lapsed from my usual just accept the crap here policy which I also preach and the post is merely to remind others to think twice before they find themselves doing similar.
Cheers Rocky.

And if you have a licence and the car is registered in some else's name - brilliant observation.
Do you really think this system will get all unlicensed drivers and unregistered vehicles off the roads - maybe you can explain how a camera is going to accomplish this.
well the cameras in police cars UK flash up all sorts of things
-
this is a really good system that will be able to read number plates and cross reference with the driving licence agency and quickly pick out the registered owner and their licence details. should get a lot of unregistered drivers off the road.

Thai officials now caught drink driving not only lose their job, but head to prison (not even killing anyone). The last few farang I have known who have drunk driven just paid a small fine. It is amazing how members on this forum think farang get such harsher treatments than what a Thai would get. Could be drink driving, neighbourhood issues or being served after a Thai at a 7/11, they will play the victim whatever the situation. Must be hard living here for them.
More often than not, the family of the victim (if someone has died) are happy just to accept a payment and leave it at that. They do not seek justice like we do back home. It can be as something as simple as stealing a phone, if the person can pay compensation then that is the end of the matter. All parties are happy.
Many families here wouldn't even understand how to seek what we consider justice. Many also would consider financial justice more useful to them than prison time. If the family is satisfied, and if the police are satisfied all parties are compensated/punished financially, then so be it. It is a different culture, some things we cannot change.the red bull fella obviously doesn't think like that

If Pattaya had a reliable rubbish contractor, one who actually knows a thing or two about waste disposal, instead of a mate of a mate who happens to know someone on council who has a mate whose bank account needs replenishing, then this waste problem that Pattaya is having would not be occurring. Council also needs to get off it's lazy arse and check on all these road side and mobile vendors, eg: do they all have permits, are their motorcycles registered, if not why not. With yesterdays wind on Soi Bukhaow many mobile carts were having their plastic bags blown off, did they stop and pick up NO way. I would bet that 99% of venders do not have permits , so fine them and kick them off the streets solves 2 problems eliminates the waste problem that these people create and frees up the roads and footpaths so they can be used for the purpose they were designed for.
footpaths -- soi buakhow ????
