Police Checkpoints Must Adhere to Protocol, Says Thai Police Chief
anchadian replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And your response also made me laugh. If these so called checkpoints want to catch drink drivers then they should set one up in the province where I am. They would have a field day. Try to think a little more, if that’s possible. -

All the years I have been residing in Thailand, I've never seem a checkpoint. Are they only set up at certain places and times? Some of these posts do make me laugh. -
Several years ago I dealt with Krungsri Assets purchasing a dividend share and eventually receiving a tax withholding certs (not for this tax year). I've looked back and on the TWC there is a Fund tax ID number. Would this be the same number as a Tax ID? เลขประจําตัวผูเสียภาษีอากรของผูจายเงินได Fund Tax ID No. 13 digits. I can always call them on Monday.

A World War Two veteran has said Sir Keir Starmer has a "golden opportunity" to end what she describes as a "brutal" policy of freezing the pensions of some Britons who move overseas. Anne Puckridge, who is days away from turning 100, is one of just over 453,000 British pensioners living abroad who do not get any annual rise in their state pension. She has received £72.50 a week since she moved to Canada in 2001, at the age of 76, to be nearer her daughter. More: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cd753pp8338o

Maybe so, but what about tobacco products are they considered to be a safer alternative? -
That'll be some increase in their retirement pension if this goes ahead. Don't all rush for those cheap flights in December. The Cabinet has approved in principle the Department of Social Development and Welfare's proposal to increase the monthly pension for seniors: from 600 baht to 700 baht for those aged 60-69, from 700 baht to 850 baht for those aged 70-79, from 800 baht to 1,000 baht for those aged 80-89, and from 1,000 baht to 1,250 baht for those aged 90 and above. For the disabled, the proposal is to increase the pension from 800 baht to 1,000 baht, government spokesperson Jirayu Huangsap reported. The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and related agencies have been instructed to fast-track the implementation, ensuring that the benefits are cost-effective, and to bring the proposal back to the Cabinet for final approval. https://x.com/ThaiEnquirer/status/1862386210603508004

Thailand's Expats Urged to Register with TRD for Tax, Says Expert
anchadian replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not going through all these posts looking for it. Has anyone considered transferring gift(s) to your wife or girlfriend? Up ro 20 million in a tax year is tax exempt for relatives and up to 10 million a year again is tax exempt for non-relatives on the understanding that you do not gain any benefit and it is solely not for living expenses. This would work in my case as my girlfriend has a job and she has told me on several occasions not to give her any money, but I do anyway (her savings account is very healthy). Apologies if already discussed previously. -
Thai healthcare tycoon Boon Vanasin flees as fraud charges mount
anchadian replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
As I thought. The following is taken from a thread on March 9 last year: WrLife is their master broker behind health insurance. The coverage is provided by Thonburi Hospital Group ASIA (US$500 million in share capital) and behind them is the Boon Vanasin family. The complete handling of the insurance claim is done by AIS Thailand, 24/7 emergency, which is also backed by the Boon Vanasin family. You take out the health insurance with the master broker WrLife, who also issues the insurance policy and pays your premium: ASSIST INTERNATIONAL SERVICES (THAILAND) CO., LTD. This company will then start your insurance under Thonburi Hospital Group ASIA at the agreed time. https://aseannow.com/topic/1286249-medical-insurance-…wr-life……for-70-plus……your-experiencerecommendations/page/2/ -
