NACC Urged to Seek PM's Insight on Thaksin's Hospital Treatment
anchadian replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
National police chief Pol Gen Kitrat Phanphet stated that the decision to submit former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra's medical records to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) rests with the Police General Hospital. This follows reports that the NACC has issued a third request for the records as part of its investigation into Thaksin's detention at the hospital, which has yet to provide the information. Pol Gen Kitrat noted that while he oversees the hospital in his role as national police chief, the authority to decide on releasing the records lies with the hospital's managing committee. He explained that if the release is deemed to infringe on the patient's personal rights, the records may be withheld. The committee will make the determination, and inquiries should be directed to the Police General Hospital. He also said that he had instructed those involved to act in compliance with the law and relevant regulations. https://x.com/ThaiEnquirer/status/1853638859168592032 -
