Thai PM says he opposes the recreational use of cannabis
JBChiangRai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It was never legalised for recreational use. Anutim also said at the time to CNN... Thai Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said he expected legal cannabis production to boost the economy but cautioned that recreational use of the drug remains illegal. “It’s a no,” said Anutin, who is also a deputy prime minister. “We still have regulations under the law that control the consumption, smoking or use of cannabis products in non-productive ways.” Thailand just decriminalized cannabis. But you still can't smoke joints, minister says | CNN People hear what they want to hear, often not what was said. All these Cannabis shops that opened up should have listened carefully instead of following one another like sheeple, or as it will probably turn out, like lemmings. -
Thai PM says use of cannabis must be regulated within six months

Actually, recreational use of any part of the plant with THC >0.2% has never been legal. What does the law say? (post 9 June 2022) The production and consumption of cannabis is permitted for medical and health purposes. It’s also permitted for private recreational use if the THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) content is below 0.2% by weight. Using cannabis for medical purposes was approved in 2018, but under the new laws it is still illegal to sell or supply any extracts containing more than 0.2% of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). THC is the main compound in marijuana which gives the ‘high’. https://fanclubthailand.co.uk/thailands-new-cannabis-laws/ Thai Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said he expected legal cannabis production to boost the economy but cautioned that recreational use of the drug remains illegal. “It’s a no,” said Anutin, who is also a deputy prime minister. “We still have regulations under the law that control the consumption, smoking or use of cannabis products in non-productive ways.”Thailand just decriminalized cannabis. Asking your nephew might not work. Electricity is different in Thailand, for example, no earth is needed here.

He doesn't even need to do that, just state that the law as it stands only allows for flower lower than 0.2% THC, that would do it. -

And will probably allow them to continue, but only supplying and recording the sale on prescription. Massively reduced sales volume will do the rest. -

Supply & Demand. Control the demand with prescriptions and market economics will take care of the rest. -

You stoners don't need to worry. You'll easily get a card/prescription from a doctor, you will know what symptoms to list, pay your consultancy fee and Bob's your uncle. OK, so it'll cost you a couple of 100 baht for a doctors qppointment, it won't break you. There will be a lot less retail outlets though which isn't a bad thing. -

Are you thinking of buying a BYD EV?
JBChiangRai replied to DUNROAMIN's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I drove a low slung EV Sports Car through 18" of water, even the front bumper camera was under water and there were a crowd of people expecting me to get stuck, no ill effects. No saloon cars were getting through, only pickups. -
Solar On-grid Inverter 5kW recommendations please
JBChiangRai replied to MJCM's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
I have installed 4 of the 6Kw MUST Grid-Tied inverters (3 in 1 house) and my friends have another 3, another friend has a the 15Kw 3 phase version. They are a fanless design, have 2 MPPT, WiFi monitoring and come with a CT coil so you can turn off export. You mention going Hybrid later, be careful what you buy and where you mount it, usually they have fans, sometimes very noisy and the one thing you can guarantee with a Chinese fan is it will stop fanning at some point. Cheapest way is to buy direct from the factory in China and have them shipped "Thailand Special Line" duty free door to door. The chat function on MUST website doesn't work try email. You can also buy on Lazada from TJ Solar who knows as much about the product as most car salespeople in Thailand about their products... -

The SoH and SoC are reportedly the Battery Management System (BMS). The supplier of the battery also include the BMS and they are considered to be fairly accurate. I am not sure how it is achieved, it could be coulomb counting (as in your smartphone) or it could be by measuring voltage at rest when it knows how much energy you have drawn from the battery and compare it to a pre-stored map, either way, it’s going to be pretty accurate. -

Allow me to correct that... Change 7 years to 20 years Change half the original range to 90% of the original range You can check the battery SoH (State of Health) with a cheap tester through the OBD port in all EV's. -
Where you bond to earth and the quality of your earth is important. You have to bond to earth at the earthing rod, not in the house, and you need a good earth. Typically Thai earths can be fairly poor. Especially if a bad site with dry soil or electrician didn't install it fully. I agree with Crossy that something in the street is pulling up your Neutral, but bonding to a good earth at the point of Earth should restore it to Zero. I suspect you have a bad earth
-
If you have Neutral bonded to Earth at your home and you have a good earth, it's impossible for anything in the street to give you a N-E voltage house-side after your bonding.

It's difficult to tell the difference between Flu & Covid, I got sick 5 weeks ago, swabbed my nose to get a -ve reading next day same thing happened -ve when I remembered the new variants attack your throat more. I swabbed my throat and it was +ve.
-
I think you need to bond neutral to earth at your earthing location, that should solve the neutral to earth 20 V problem

The cases are Antec 1200's which allow 20 drives using 5 in 3 hot swappable drive trays, the 2 parity drives are in the back, Intel i3 board from SuperMicro, I think the 8 port HBA's are an IBM device re-flashed to something generic. I can't remember, I've been running them for about 10 years but smaller drives until about 4/5 years ago. As for heat, I have a small room about 2m x 4m which is air conditioned 24/7 and serves another 2 purposes, it's my wine cellar and it houses all the solar power stuff+batteries. The disks are set to spin down after 30 minutes idle.
