That is likely to be an issue. If using a smartphone is mandatory, ie communicating with the manufacturers server, then that part of the functionality is likely to fail. BUT, this is not an EV issue, it applies equally to modern ICE vehicles too. My friend wouldn't be able to do the same things on his ICE Mercedes too.

IMHO, the most important fact in selecting a new EV is the battery chemistry, it really needs to be LFP.

Only the ZS and ES/EP models have modular batteries. unlike the MG4 the warranty is 8 years, the MG4 has a lifetime warranty on the battery and it's one large pack. The taxi we use for airport runs is an MG EP+, he picked us up last week for our Phuket trip and it was off the road. He got flooded in the recent Chiang Rai floods and one module has to be replaced, including labour 100k THB.

My daughter has the MG4 X standard range, I drove it for a few months too and I just took it to Makro with her today, it's a fantastic car and great fun to drive.

You will find the crypto tax listed in one of the tax guides posted on AN, I will save you looking it up, if you bought your crypto on a regulated Thai exchange you pay PIT (up to 35%) on the profit, if you didn't buy it this way then you pay PIT on the entire transaction amount. All the approved exchanges practice KYC and output data to the TRD every year. If you sell overseas and bring the money here, it's up to you "if and how" you declare it.
