    Two years ago about two weeks after my extension immigration wanted to visit my house. They visited and said it was just to check that I was living where I said I was due to many people not living where it was stated on their extension. Very amicable took photos and left

    Everyone has to file one, it is easy, I just arrived the other day. Once filed you get email in seconds to say it was successful (look in spam folder if not) no need to show immigration at the airport it is already in the system. If you do not you will be sent to the computer terminals close by (several were sent while I was in the queue)

    I waited for my visa debit card 7 weeks, it had already expired when it finally arrived

    Wow! Wow! I was reading your post and I thought to myself this is not the England I visited in the last two weeks, then I came to the bit about North Yorkshire. I am feeling so lucky that all my life has been living there, you are correct, it has been 13 years since I have been home and it has not changed

    Yes. I love the feel of books. Being a retired printer I have always been involved with print but never read (it was too much like work) now I love reading

    Having lived in a small thai city in North Eastern Issaan for 14 years (non touristy) I had to learn a certain amount of Thai but I was quite shocked when I moved to a more touristy place (same size) some months in that they speak less English

    I may be wrong but I think after 3 months your state pension increases and also you are fine for NHS health care

    Just came back from Koh Chang, still my favourite island, quiet but have bars, if you want a bit of night life. In my opinion ideal place for couples
