I have had one bicycle stolen in Thailand (not tourist area) and one very close

Not exactly same has you. Had sickness and diarrhea for 3 days, girlfriend took me to local doctors (most work in hospitals before/after their surgery) gave me a few tablets to take and injection in my bum, everything ok after 24 hours

Having lived and been coming to Thailand for nearly 36 years, aggressive behaviour is the last thing you want to be involved in. There maybe one person against you at the start but believe me that would multiply many times
