Absolutely, and as I observed a couple of weeks back, Trump’s attack on the UK economy (cheered on by a number of the forum’s Brexit supporters) made the UK drawing closer to the EU an inevitable necessity. The EU is Britain’s largest and closest trading partner, it makes absolute sense to remove trading barriers.

  6. He’s extending by 12 years the fishing deal Johnson negotiated and in exchange getting lots of goodies for the British economy. Even British fishermen do well out of this deal, the removal of restrictions on exports to the EU will re-open the opportunity to sell their catch in Europe, an opportunity they were robbed of by Brexit. Add the benefits to British farming, security, access to EU defense spending and re-entry to Erasmus, it’s a great deal. It’s well past time to peal back the damage the Tories did under cover of Brexit. Starmer is on it.!

  11. It’s being attempted via the Supreme Court. His appeal to the SCOTUS regarding birthright citizenship is a direct challenge to give a President the power to override explicit clauses within the Constitution. The SCOTUS has already ruled he can’t be prosecuted for criminal acts if conducted as part of his Presidential duties. If he is then permitted to ignore the Constitution his power is beyond the control of the judiciary or Congress. “I shall be a Dictator on day one”

  17. The Bill, which was voted down doesn’t remove taxes on tips, overtime or social security. It does increase the debt ceiling by $5Trillion. It’s been voted down because the cuts to social programs don’t go far enough. The tax cuts to the hyper wealthy must be paid for by the poor.

As yet the source is unattributed and I don’t want to guess. Removing sanctions on ‘private pledges’ in the absence of formal declarations seems odd, very odd.
