  1. The FDA and CDC have been gutted. No amount of ‘handshakes’ will hold the food industries to any standards. A more rational approach would be not gut the regulators and fund research to determine which aspects of food production are causing harm.
  2. Or perhaps it’s a distraction. Either way, talk is cheap, handshakes are not regulation while gutting the FDA and CDC is an invite to ignore what regulations remain. Profits up at cost to public health.
  3. “Every lefty celeb wants a trans kid, it highlights their Woke credentials. Look how many have them, it's uncanny. ” Do you have a link to substantiate that remarkable claim or is it something you made up?
  4. While ignoring the elephant in the room, the processed foods industry and its products, particularly ultra processed foods. The use of additives and food dies is only one part of the problems that industry causes Where it goes, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cancers and other diseases follow. Regardless of what the underlying causes of food related public health problems is, Kennedy’s ’handshake agreements’ are little more than feigning action that will not be monitored following the Government mass layoffs and funding cuts to the FDA and CDC. On the Upside, this is a Kennedy initiative that isn’t actually putting people at risk, in that sense it’s a useful distraction for him. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9778909/#:~:text=Processed foods are generally recognized,by 30% [8]. https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/trump-administration-begins-mass-layoffs-health-agencies-sources-say-2025-04-01/
  5. Another attack on the source of the news selected for this thread.
  6. I regard myself a leftie and I’ve made numerous comments this thread. Here’s a challenge for you, please identify with direct full quotations anything you believe I’ve said that constitutes condemnation by me of British Special Forces and/or NATO?
  7. So now you call into question the mental health of a veteran giving his eyewitness testimony and go further by suggestion links to a terrorist organization. Are there no depths to the depravity of your arguments?
  8. I didn’t say there was, nor did I say there will not be. Lets see the range of reactions if there is.
  9. Read my post again and see if you can spot the ‘if’.
  10. I have a feeling if these allegations lead to prosecutions and trials you’ll be objecting to the those too. But if you are indeed arguing allegations made that have not been tested in court are nothing to be concerned about, then that really would be a change of outlook worth noting.
  11. The BBC are reporting the allegations. The allegations are being made by UK Special Forces veterans who were eyewitnesses to the events. I understand Asseannow selects news stories from reputable sources and that those selected news sources shall not be impugned by members in the discussion of the topics the reports address.
  12. I need to update this observation. Not so much ‘crickets’ as the very people who engage in outrage over an equivalence being drawn between the actions of a State Military and those of a Terrorist Organization are no longer silent. They now themselves engaging in that very same equivalence. How the wind blows?!
  13. The false moral equivalency was introduced by Jonny. I and others called it out. You’re objecting to ot having been called out
  14. The people who have come forward to give testimony are themselves combat veterans.
  15. Is there absolutely no topic in which you aren’t triggered to go completely off topic to play politics with child rape gangs?
  16. A very good point. The’s usually apoplectic outrage over comparing the actions of a national military with those of a terrorist organization. In this case ‘crickets’.
  17. You need to read the OP Jonny. The accounts are firsthand from veterans of that war, they are not ‘hearsay’. I believe the special forces veterans making these allegations know it was war.
  18. There’s a few who’s murders are mentioned in the OP to be going on with.
  19. A bit of whataboutary there. But if you are arguing the laws of the UK should be determined by what’s acceptable to the Taliban, the floor is yours.
  20. A gift that establishes one degree of separation between Trump and Hamas that passes through Qatar, dishing out goodies to both Trump and Hamas. Where’s the outrage?
  21. The allegations by British special services veterans who served in this war is of war crimes and murder committed by British military personnel. This not an accusation against NATO. But you are right, this is definitely conduct that breads the justifiable resentment terrorists organizations can use for recruitment.
  22. What I like about this latest ‘Trump Vow’ is its announcement 540 days before the mid terms. Plenty of time for the gap between ‘vow’ and reality to show up.
