    May I be the first to welcome you to the forum. Another brand new member who makes their way directly to the political discussions always raises the hope we might hear new views we’ve never heard before.

    Let me correct you. US Citizens, rich or poor may vote. Any barrier placed in the way of them doing so impacts the probability that come election day they can vote. Those barriers disproportionately effect the poor and ethnic minorities. Let’s not pretend you do not understand that.

    There’s an easy fix for this. Deport foreign criminals straight from prison. It might upset the highly lucrative prison industry and stem the flow of donations it makes to politicians but it would save having to blame the police/courts.

    It doesn’t take a lot of thought to work out why this is correct. Bigots are usually dullards, plenty of examples demonstrate that to be so. If a bigot who hates Muslims violently attacks a Jew in the mistaken belief they are a Muslim then the motivation for the attack is Islamophobia. Bigots aren’t the brightest of folk, they are almost always blinded to reality by their own hatred.
