Voting against a Parliamentary Bill that provides increased protections for children and lying about it. Not a good look. I’m glad I’m not excusing it. Fortunately Labour have a significant majority and the bill passed its second reading.

It seems the lies and misinformation are indeed rife. We've been assailed for days with news of the Tories submitting an amendment to the Second Reading of the Child Welfare and Schools Bill. The fat lie included has been that the Tories were demanding the Bill include setting up an inquiry into the grooming gangs. The liars who spread this nonsense have a couple of problems to navigate. 1. Amendments are not added to Second Readings, the vote is passed the bill into law or ‘kill it’. 2. The text of the Tory ‘amendment’ has been published on ‘’X” The Tories and Reform UK we’re not voting to add an inquiry, they were voting to kill the Child Welfare and Schools Bill. This criminal should obviously not be in the UK. How does such a dangerous criminal that was ordered deported after serving his sentence get let out of prison early? There is no logical reason why detention should not have been continued up until placed on the aircraft back to Pakistan. Who was home secretary in 2014… oh it was Theresa May. Perhaps she was too busy at the time decimating the police force.

The cases were each conduced according to the law in open courts taking into account the offenses and circumstances in which they were committed. The Government stamped out wide spread coordinated race riots almost overnight. Text book law and order in practice.
