  1. Maybe Trump is bundling Truth Social stocks with Trump Approved bibles. $60 a pop, beware of imitations.
  2. I’ve put it on a very low heat.
  3. That’s a remarkable claim noobe. Now let me see you quote a post of mine in which I have done any of that. I’ll put kettle on while you wriggle.
  4. Agreed. My point was that NI contributions are directly linked to receiving a state pension. We often read the common refrain ‘I paid my NI I therefore am entitled to my pension’ or words to that effect. The link is clearly in people’s minds that they receive something very tangible for their NI Contributions.
  5. Really? Odd thing to say given my earlier post:
  6. So identify something I have said about NI contributions that is incorrect.
  7. Sorry for pointing out the crass nonsense of your suggestion that the Government should somehow examine the lifetime spending habits of people before deciding how much pension they deserve. Tell us how that would work, are the whole nation to keep their receipts when they spend any money?
  8. I’m sure you have a grasp of your own understanding of the ‘complicated history of NI contributions’. How on earth you determine I might have no idea of the same is one of those leaps of the imagination that characterize so many baseless assumptions on this forum.
  9. No I was responding to the ludicrous suggestion that the Government should examine how individuals have spent their money during their working lives. UK State Pensions an entitlement paid for by individuals’ NI contributions. Along with NHS care they are one of the very entitlements that the vast majority of people receive. There is also the direct relationship between NI contributions and entitlement to the State Pension. This is not simply the calculation of entitlement based on contributions that is available from the DWP but also a recognition amongst people paying NI that they will receive and expect to receive something for the contributions they make throughout their adult lives. Which perhaps explains why the Tories wish to get rid of NI. Undermining the funding of the State Pension and NHS at precisely the time both are in need of more funding. After all, it just not right that ordinary working people should expect to receive anything at all for the taxes they pay. The question is not should the triple lock remain, but why are the Tories proposing to abolish National Insurance,
  10. Never had you down as an advocate of ‘Brig Brother’ Government.
  11. More self stroke grievance nonsense. The judge has ordered Trump gagged on very specific issues, as already explained. Like ‘Foreman of the Jury how do you find the accused?’
  12. There is no first amendment right to threaten others. Trump is free to talk about millions of things, including DA Bragg and the judge himself. What may not do is threaten, intimidate witnesses and jurors in his case or incite others to do so. Your ill informed nonsense is bubbling to the surface again,
  13. You soon changed your tune, or are we now pretending you didn’t post this:
  14. It’s a salutary fact that not a single minute of the time Assange spent in hiding and later in prison can be attributed to anything other than Assange’s decision to go on the lam. Chelsea Manning faced justice, served her time and is out free and getting on with life. Assange has pished away the prime of his life not man enough to face justice for his own actions.
  15. There is in this particular case no reason for your ill informed nonsense. Nobody expects you to know much about anything in the U.S. but it’s not unreasonable to expect you to read an article and at least try to understand what it’s telling you before commenting :
  16. I don’t do the pessimism thing. Juries have in the past convicted heads of major crime syndicates and mafia gangs.
  17. I don’t disagree. But the justice system is operating in real life, it’s not a movie with a script and a 102 minute show time. Justice is coming. Don’t fall for the constant ‘He’s going to get away with it all’. Relax and be assured that’s not something Trump is in any fit state to do.
  18. Let’s get to the important bit. How much Calhoun being paid as goes out the door following his complete failure at the job?
  19. Easily done. They are in any case two baseless claims made by Assange himself. If the Australian parliament wish to get involved they might consider paying the bill for the costs caused to the UK by their citizen going on the lam.
  20. In this world of immediate gratification, taking one’s pleasures at leisure adds time to savor the layers of delight.
  21. I suspect that’s not all you know. You might also know the statute of limitations’ clock gets reset every time an act in furtherance of the crime is committed.
