Once again the nonsensical comparison of walls around houses to border walls.

One big difference being that once you get past perimeter walls, you have to also get past inner walls. And unlike the USA, most houses that I know of come with a roof, so just climing a wall isn't going to gain you access. Or maybe you want to cover American with a roof?

And there is the minor fact houses are inhabited and are generally surrounded by other houses.

Also the fact that houses are generally adjacent to roads which allow for fast access by police.

Most of the wall will be built in areas where there are no roads. Which means that not only is staffing a problem, but the very fact that there are no raods means border crossers will have to go a long way to get access to roads. Which gives plenty of time for advanced surveillance to spot crossers.

Thank you for making my point. People with houses have less reason for having walls, but yet we do.....Why?

And, you have no problem with our Border Agents chasing large groups of folks at night through dangerous terrain. I'm done. What we say makes little difference. Happy Trump is doing what he promised.

    Thanks, very helpful, accusation aside.

I have not made up mind against Ban Chang. I was discouraged and concerned by the information I received. Yes it was unhelpful of them to leave me so uninformed.

I believe I did say something about Phala Beach in my original post.

I still have my hotel and have already made my flight reservations. Just a bit concerned about getting a ride to U-Tapao at 5:00 am when a taxi needs to drive 50 minutes to take me 15 minutes up the road.

Google Ban Chang Taxi, they are always prompt, no problem.

I see, since drugs might be coming in through remote, desolate parts of the border that are not guarded 24/7, we should spend billions building a wall.  After all, people who have crossed thousands of miles through jungles, rivers, mountains and deserts can't possibly get through a wall.

In order to stop "maybe" entering risks, shouldn't we build a wall around the entire country?  Perhaps we can get Canada to pay for the northern wall.

Very dramatic, I'd say most rode buses and trucks, not wrestling crocodiles when crossing jungles.

  4. I think there is a world of difference between the thinking of posters. You have one group who is still working making large money and one group who is scraping by on a small pension and one group who is just posting nonsense hoping for a response. For many working offshore 3-5 hrs OT is equal to what their wife or G/F monthly salary would be.

In the US back in the not so long ago past, fathers made enough money to support the family and the mother was a housewife. What's wrong with that?

After deciding the menu, have you investigated the market place for buying needed equipment...grill, deep fat fryer, woks. Locating the best ham burger buns, beef patties, sausages.

If you have previous cash business experience then you know you'll have to be hands on every hour you're open. First person in, last person out.
