For the chronologically challenged, your data is two years old. When no Trump tariff on aluminium existed. You think customers won't be switching their orders to cheaper Airbus models? US production of aluminium is declining, mainly due to high electricity costs. It was 670,000 tonnes in 2024, compared to imports of 4.9 million tonnes. You really think America can increase domestic aluminium production seven-fold? No need to ask what you are drinking.

Trump is making the threats. China is seeking to forge new trade deals with anyone who wants them, including the EU. You are confusing Chinese threats to America with threats to the West. Xi understands Trump is a bully, and the best way to deal with a bully is a hefty smack in the mouth. Please post an example of China threatening a Western country which is not the US. Or there's this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia–China_relations

Kindly post a link to your claim of thousands of unfilled orders. With a 25% tariff on aluminium - you know, the stuff that is 75-80% of an aircraft's structural mass, is Boeing going to be absorbing that cost, or passing it on to customers? Airbus must be chortling over Trump's stupidity. Customers will be switching over to them in droves.

I suggest you take a walk through Harlem, Detroit or the Philadelphia projects before you point the finger at other countries.

America has the highest prison population in the world. Between 20 and 50% of prisons in some states are privatized. Historically, Big Pharma has run multiple trials of medications and vaccines on prisoners. Perhaps you can connect the dots from there.

The American public's ability to endure economic pain is on a par with their ability to tolerate military pain. You are pulling out of Ukraine without even having a single pair of boots on the ground. You are ready for it? About as ready as a turkey is for Thanksgiving.

Admit it, you lied.

Australian population 27 million. US population 330 million. Go back to basic arithmetic school. Most of what America has supplied is obsolete inventory which was going to be scrapped.

Trump has massive factories springing up overnight. It's reminiscent of Hitler marshaling non-existent armies to defend Berlin. America has tariffs on everyone. China is offering zero tariff trade deals to everyone. Who is going to get more market share in that situation?

You don't know much history, do you? Australia has spent its blood and treasure in wars you have started, going way back to Korea. Pine Gap and North West Cape on Australian soil has made us a nuclear target. I am angry because putting tariffs on a staunch ally with whom the US has a positive trade balance is the act of an ingrate, without any decency whatsoever. You have probably drunk so much Trump KoolAid you don't realize he is turning friends into enemies.

American farmers lost heavily in Trump's first presidency. Soybeans, grains, meat, tree nuts and cotton. Boeing has 760 unfilled aircraft orders. Most are from China, who has now halted deliveries. Each aircraft is about $55 million, making a market loss of $40 billion. You think Boeing will survive that? It takes 5-7 years to develop the mine and processing infrastructure for iron ore, which is quite a lot simpler than what's required for rare earths. What are you going to do in the interim? So you think countries exporting rare earths to America are not going to slap an export tax on them, in response to Trump's tariffs? Dream on. IIRC it was Teddy Roosevelt who said when you have them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow. IMO it's China that has the firmer grip.

As an American, your egregious arrogance is the reason many Australians question whether an ally who cuts and runs from multiple conflicts when a fickle public gets tired is worth having. You lost in Vietnam. You lost in Iraq. You lost in Afghanistan. You are hanging Ukraine out to dry. As an ally, you're not worth p!ssing on. FYI, 5.5% of the Australian population is Chinese. They are probably one of the most law-abiding and hard-working racial groups, but then we don't share your bigotry and racism.

Someone else types your posts for you?

To me, negative emojis are a cop-out. Posters using them are too lazy to argue their case in opposition to what's posted.

Medical studies are based on a test group, and a control group given a placebo. It doesn't take long for statistically significant differences to appear, if the medication or vaccine is effective.

China's manufacturing output is double that of the USA. In terms of domestic demand, the Chinese middle class is bigger than the entire US population. Approximately 70% of economies in the world trade more with China than America. In terms of GDP, the US is bigger. In terms of Purchasing Power Parity ( PPP) China is bigger. I am Australian. China does not apply tariffs to Australia. The US does, despite having a positive trade balance with Australia. I would like an American to explain why we should continue to ally ourselves with the USA, because we certainly are not being treated as one.

For that matter, what stops an Executive Order which restricts payments of SS to those citizens living in the USA?

Kraft foods used to sell smooth and crunchy peanut butter in glasses with a tin lid that were identical to the first photo posted by the OP. I had dozens of them in Oz. About 550 mL volume. I am a fan of businesses who sell their goods in re-useable containers. Here, Oishi Ramen gets my vote for plastic bowls with lids, which can be easily washed, then used to store and microwave food. Henry Ford was a smart businessman. He bought gearboxes from another company, rigidly specifying the dimensions and grade of the timber used in making the packing case. Stripped down, the timber was then used for the floorboards of the T-model Ford.

MAGAs don't seem to see the disconnect between DOGE claiming reduced bureaucracies, and US Customs imposing paperwork which cuts in at $800 instead of $2500. America had a reputation for excellence in logistics. Another example of a private company saying <deleted> it. How is this helping America cut into its public debt and unfunded liabilities?

I want to be a YouTuber !!! Ideas please
Lacessit replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Hang yourself upside down from a chandelier eating grapes fed to you by an obvious ladyboy. That should get some views. -
How do you develop a good perception of a felon, sexual predator, and serial liar who boasts cheating contractors is good business? How do you perform the mental gymnastics which enable you to think tariffs are a good thing which will not increase living costs for Americans, and will not alienate allies? IMO such sophistry is only possible for someone with their head embedded in their ass.

You obviously don't watch any YouTube.

White House just declared war on the COVID conspirators
Lacessit replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Covid/Vaccine
The White House is anti-science. Anyone suggesting bleach is a cure for COVID is an idiot. Same with the science of climate change. Drill baby drill. Pretty short odds if Trump had a melanoma or glioblastoma, he'd be screaming for the best care medical science could provide.
