  1. Juristic persons do have the power to cut off electricity and water supply to offending or un-financial condos, although I understand it is very rarely exercised.
  2. "es irrt der mensch solang er strebt" ( Goethe ) It's nice to know moderators are human too.
  3. I wouldn't say it was dumbing down, more an intelligent response to complaints the food is too spicy. I have yet to see a Thai restaurant that does not have powdered chili at the table. I prefer adjusting the heat in the food there. Quite a few Thais add sugar to soften the chili impact at the table anyway, although that's not healthy.
  4. The most state-of-the art PET scanner is $750K. The cost of robotics used by AI would be significantly more IMO. Against that, every surgeon I have had in Australia has been earning over a million. AI would be operating to a diagram of the human body. Good surgeons have an instinct for the living flesh under the scalpel, that tells them when the body is deviating from what the diagram says it should be. How do the IT guys transfer said instinct to AI? Certainly, robotics play an important part in surgery nowadays. However, human guidance is still there. IT guys always over-hype, it comes with the territory. I have yet to meet an app or program which is 100% user-friendly.
  5. It is easier with getting supporting documents for the retirement extension. There are also the little nibbles of fees if operating an account in another province. Having said that, I have not needed to transfer my Bangkok Bank account with 800K from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. The BB staff in Chiang Rai seem quite happy to provide me with the bank letter and statements for the CM account. The OP's mileage may vary.
  6. Setting up a new gmail account is easy. If the communication from MS is genuine, let them do it. If not, it's a scam. If I were the OP, I would simply delete it. Given I use free Linux OS , and despise Microsoft and all its works, not likely to receive said email anyway.
  7. The OP can probably make price comparisons with what is available on eBay, Lazada or Gumtree. PC's are a commodity nowadays, most people prefer buying cheap new unless they are technically savvy.
  8. You may be right. However, combining the goals of eating healthy while also eating foods I enjoy is a preferable option for me. If I want potassium, plenty of it in avocados, greens and yoghurt.
  9. I have to wonder whether Mr. DeSantis has schizophrenia. Making LGBT people invisible, while supporting the Christian training of kids to believe in angels sounds quite schizophrenic to me. I guess as he imitates Trump, Mexicans and Muslims will be next. A bit awkward for him, Miami has a lot of Cubans.
  10. Bananas are high in fructose. Trying to lose weight on a keto or low carb diet diet with bananas in the mix is like trying to bale water with a colander.
  11. I believe markets will dictate what we consume. Surgeons are refusing to operate on patients unless they stop smoking. Airlines are mumbling about pricing tickets according to passenger body mass. I doubt whether governments will intervene on food. Cigarettes and alcohol are too profitable to be discarded as tax revenue, junk food is what keeps the masses placid. "Let me have men about me that are fat, Sleek-headed men and such as sleep a-nights. Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look, He thinks too much; such men are dangerous."
  12. You think it is nectar because Gatorade is 6% sugar. You're in training for Type 2 diabetes.
  13. Not going to happen. If KH ignored other posters, he would run out of people to reply to a la Tolstoy. IIRC I once challenged him to produce a post shorter than mine, even then he couldn't count sentences.
  14. I am wondering how you would know any woman has not been a hooker prior to your congress with her. Perhaps we should add omniscience to your many other attributes. If you prefer educated women, here's a news flash. About 30% of tertiary-educated women, irrespective of country, have sold sexual services to help fund their education.
  15. Depending on how effective the management is, most condos have rules about excessive or untimely noise. I am assuming the OP owns his condo, another argument for renting. Blow-in insulation becomes a fire risk as it ages, it is usually paper fluff dosed with boric acid as a flame retardant. The effectiveness of home insulation batts or rolls depends on its thickness. Materials designed for sound reduction are usually more dense than home insulation.
  16. Agreed, I was talking about the glitzy branded electrolytes designed to separate fools from their money.
  17. I have to admit when the worst baiter and troller on this thread makes a post like that, they have the hide of a rhinoceros. It would be interesting to know how many times your posts have been removed as off-topic or inflammatory.
  18. I have traditional Thai massage 3-4 times a week. I detest oil, it makes me feel greasy. One hour in the afternoon with my Bluetooth earbuds and contemplative music sets me up nicely for a relaxed evening.
  19. Water is essential for muscles. Try exercising for sustained periods without it, and see how many agonizing cramps you get. The only electrolyte humans need is salt to taste on their food, electrolytes are simply marketing BS designed by clever people to get money from dumb people.
  20. Imported cheese is expensive due to freight and taxes. Thai cheese is dreck. The Kraft brand is not real Australian cheese. King Island and Gippsland are where decent cheese is made.
  21. Talk about coincidences, I am having an inguinal hernia operated on today. In Australia, laparoscopic.
  22. IMO it's a mix of relevance deprivation syndrome. and people with too much time on their hands, or nothing better to do. I do have to marvel at OP's which are 15 - 20 paragraphs, expressed either coherently or incoherently.
  23. It's a gap in my education, I have never studied Tai Chi/Qigong. Whatever works. Just looked at 5 Qigong beginner's exercises on YouTube, I will give it a try.
  24. IMO it really does not matter what form of exercise is used, as long as it is EXERCISE. My daily routine consists of following a Youtube exercise video first thing in the morning, 30 minutes of stretching and mild cardio, 25 pushups. A 2 km walk before lunch, then another Youtube video of 20 minutes. If I was in Thailand, I would be swimming as well, too cold in Melbourne.
  25. I have been there, done that with weight loss and exercise. As I write, my BP is 116/62 without any meds. I eat Vegemite ( 3.3% sodium ) on toast every morning, and add salt to taste on my food. I have half a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate in a glass of water half an hour before going to bed. AFAIK my sodium intake has zero effect on my blood pressure. Is there any peer-reviewed research which links normal sodium intake to high blood pressure? I have not been able to find any.
