  1. very sad indeed. not sure who is the idiot who replied with smiley.

when i took the vaccine i also felt some unusual phisical stress, i decided to take a rest

and relax for two weeks after each vaccine.

one sceintist calculted it this way, according to data about the deceased from vaccive vs. virus:

there is a chance of 1 to 100,000 to die from the vaccine, and 1 to 5000 to die from the virus.

the chance to die from the virus can be reduced to allmost zero once herd immunity is achieved.

herd immunity is achieved once 70% of the population has been vaccinated.

thailand might get there within 3-4 months.

  2. from my experience:

first, you have to apply for the COE at a thai embassy . when i did that i did not get

any reply for three weeks. than i called the embassy and they told me to send the application again.

when i sent the application again i for a negative answer. the reason: no ASQ booking and no

    health insurance payment,

when i told the embassy that in the first stage there is no need for those documents, they

told me OHH YES SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE. YOUR APPLICATION IS APPROVED.

Than i gave up. i will wait for july to return to thailand without ASQ / INSURANCE

    Absolutely correct remark. Thanks.

and i would add that many rules and regulations are changing these days, gloablly and nationaly, that is why i asked my question.

there is a difference, also in taxation, between managing investments (holding them for longer periods of time) and active trading (selling and buying assets more frequently and licing on the profits). even TAT now mentioned new visa proposal for stock traders, with 17% tax if they reside in thailand. which means they start to look into this sort of income as taxed in thailand even if made in banks off shore.

  4. from some reason the TAT think that high quality farang will run in million to live in thailand just because they can get work permit. a work permit which they can get anyway in many other much better countries. so why would they budder to come to a country like thailand, where they can be kidnapped by the police for business disputes or get locked in jail for 100 years

because they transfered into thailand millions of dollars earned legally in dutch coffee canabis shops,..

.... Scott Fitzgersld, then just get your WP....

not so easy to get WP without having to open a company, with three partners and 2 thai workers.

besides, there are tax issues. trading shares via WP might mean that i must pay 35% tax on all profits.

but if the trading investing while the bank accounts are outside of thailand, i might have to pay, legally, zero tax for thailand (as long as i do not transfer the profit to thailand in the same year they were made). i think it is a bit grey area of the law and just wondered if anyone here will know something (as regulations and laws around it change all the time).

Not finalised yet, and some recent discussion that it may be 14 days when/if a decision is finally reached.

14 DAYS staying in phuket (not quarantine)? that is also fine with me.

problem is that the situation in thailand is much worse than what they tell ua.

last week a plane landed in my country, filled with thai workers, 40 were discovered

to be covid positive. 40 out of 200 . that is 25%...that also means that the covid tests in thailand are useless, or maybe they found easy ways to fake it.

Even if the Phuket Sandbox scheme goes ahead, you effectively still have to quarantine for 7 days before you can travel elsewhere

i think you are wrong, the phuket scheme is allready final, and there is no need for quarantine, only need to stay in phuket for 7 days, before the vaccinated tourist can travel elsewhere in thailand.

    only Phuket and possibley Samui

the way i understand the new july openning is like that:

    1. vaccinated tourist (visa exempt) can land in phuket with NO NEED for quarantine.

    2. after 7 days in phuket, the farang can leave phuket to anywhere in thailand, pending

    local thai TRAVEL restrictions.

    3. yes COE and covid test is still required, but no need for the ASQ under this new july

    phuket openning.

did i get it right? please tell that i got it right, otherwise i will go for MRI

Heres some food for thought... if a country is placed on a currency  manipulation  watch list, can that country actually  borrow money, or is the watch list just a fake list?

if that country is a strong U.S. ally than no worry about corruption and manipulations, even a small coup will be tolerated with no condemnation from new york based UNITED NATIONS.

also no riots in the streets will be encouraged by the CIA, just give us this USD hedge and all will be fine.

gave up because he couldn't master the COE application website.

indeed i gave up the COE application and decided to wait until july when no

quarantine will be required for the vaccinated.

i acctually did manage to master the COE website and did send the application, and

guess what happaned? first, i did not get any reply at all.

than, two weeks later, when i asked the embassy about it, they told me to file the COE again.

this time i did get the answer, but was surprised to see that my application was rejected

because i do not have the insurance and ASQ proof of payment.

i wrote to the embassy that their website state that on the first stage

of COE application there is no need for those documents, and they wrote

to me back OH SORRY SIR, YOU ARE RIGHT. OUR MISTAKE, YOUR COE IS APPROVED.

this made me change my mind and delay my arrival to a time when ASQ is not needed.

i do not want to pay such high amounts of money for such a low

quality of service. i do not mind low quality of service and state officials, but

sorry thailand, not for those amounts of money and hastle.

I wrote about a rental agreement for after you apply not before.

yes this is what you wrote, but it is not what the immigration wrote.

you might have great common sense, but immigration might other kinds

    of senses and logic.

there is a new info form for non-O visa, a

form that was attached to one of your posts recently.

the way i understand it, it informs about the rewuirements to get the 3 month

extention, so how come the past 3 months rental receipts?
