A lot of nonsense is being written here about difficulty travelling by road from Hua Hin to Bangkok. For 15 months my wife and I had to travel to Sukhumvit area on Tuesdays and Thursdays for hospital treatment, driving during daytime traffic and the trip was rarely more than 3 hours. A couple of Saturday trips were the same. During torrential rain or maybe big holidays it would be a bit more, once it was 4.5 hours. Once. The road is being improved, as we all know. So it will actually get better.

It's quite pathetic that anyone who writes disagreeing even slightly with someone who makes a blatantly racist comment (in this case: 'typical of Thais, trying to deflect blame') is always accused of 'defending Thais'. Low-born and uneducated Thais behave and respond in exactly the same way that similar people in New York or London or Melbourne do. Some are offensive. Most are fine. If someone screamed unexpectedly at me I could certainly lose my concentration through shock. Why is that hard to believe? I don't even know if that happened here, but that's not what your saying, is it?
