It was reported on the local radio station that the gun was legally purchased because of the previous break-ins/robberies. I never heard of a foreigner legally owning a gun in Thailand. Anyway, I'd say that loop hole will be closed shortly. Poor Thailand, they do the right thing by allowing this woman to protect herself then she goes and ends her life.
