  1. Renters beware. In Thailand It's very, very rare that a deposit will be returned. I've rented my condos in the past and had tenants stay for a few years, the tenant would always paid their rent on time, I've been lucky. If there was an issue with the washing machine, air-conditioner I would always have it replaced with a new item, when the tenant left after giving notice I would always refund their deposit. I'm glad I've never been a tenant because I've heard some horrible stories.
  2. Sometimes showing off or checking out a sexy chick takes priority over safety. They get taught at a young age. Naaah, you're right, the safety gene has disappeared. Record_2022-04-19-17-43-50.mp4 Record_2022-04-19-16-56-28.mp4 Young boy scooter accident.mp4
  3. I love where I live, been here for a long time. I bought the house of the plan from the developer as I knew the location was where I wanted to be forever. If the Mrs left I'd find a new one, plenty of fish in the sea.
  4. Not real bright, if you're going to race the train he should slow down, go around the barrier traveling on the grass area.
  5. I owned this lovely Triumph Stag many years ago. Sadly it regularly overheated, common problem with the Stag and the Aussie summers. It was really nice to drive with the roof off, listening to the rumble of the engine......sports exhaust system. The convertible V8 was a real head turner.
  6. OMG, we are seeing these violent, aggressive assaults daily by foreigners.
  7. Motor brushes can be bought from Amorn, I'm not sure of locations in Isaan but they have a shop basement level TukCom. Wearing brushes shouldn't cause a burning smell. Not being rude but what is your weight, us foreigners tend to be on the heavy side.
  8. It seems a safer option, considering how many motorbike accidents Thailand has. Rubber would make for less injuries.
  9. Foreigners arriving, no common sense and very disrespectful. If they did that at my house the wife would hit them with a stick.
  10. About bloody time. These fools driving around town with those unnesserary loud sirens blasting. These fools need to grow up.
  11. 26 years, come on. You haven't lived until you've been ripped off by a Thai petrol pump attendant. Not too common these days but back in the day with the older style pumps it was their favorite past time to annoy the foreigners.
  12. Ha, ha Reminds of the petrol station on Pattaya Tai, before they had the new digital bowsers installed. The pump would not be zeroed, the guys would have an amount (around 60baht) on the bowser from the previous bike, then they would top your bike up, you'd pay your 100 baht or so and ride off with 1/4 tank. Stupid me, they got me several times. Pointless complaining. Next time be smarter than them, you know what to do now.
  13. Good luck getting your money back. ???? Common scam Where's the venue I'll come over and help get rid of the grog ???? Any San Miguel?
  14. Exactly what you described. - Solid built - lots of single large rooms - not a neighbor for miles - close to the city The Waterfront project, been abandoned for many years.
  15. At times I screen record, then I can edit, change screen format 16:9 etc to reduce size.
  16. I have Kasikorn and Bangkok Bank Apps. You don't need 5G. Just buy yourself any new phone, no need to spend alot of money. Have a look on lazada, search for shops with 4stars or more with good comments. Oppo, VIVO, realme, xiaomi all good phones, avoid Huawei, issues with Google. You can buy locally (Thailand) and they will deliver in a day or two. Avoid buying from China, long delivery times and other issues.
  17. Your comment reminds me of the Orchid Hotel (I'm sure that's the name) Mumbai. My company had us guys stay there the night before crew change. The hotel was next to the international Airport, the roof top bar was only a few hundred meters from the runway, it had top notch views (watching the planes take of and land), good music, atmosphere, and affordable drinks (Kingfisher beer) and a roof top swimming pool, it was something I looked forward to, bloody nice hotel. I heard that there were some changes, bar closure due to airport security risks.
  18. Yes, cheap drinks, but a view of New Plaza from the 1st floor level gets a little boring. Back in the day it had good views of the girls going to work......coconut bar and the bars on soi's 7&8. Like I said, you get what you pay for.
  19. You get what you pay for. There are a few apartment blocks around town with rooftop seating, you can buy your grog from 7-Eleven and enjoy the view. At times you'll get the occasional rat run down the drain pipe.
  20. Hilton hotel Pattaya D Varee Jomtien
