My neighbor is not well off, he works everyday, very long hours as a chef, his gf is home all day and has the air conditioner going 24/7 in the bedroom and living room (2 A/C's) . She only turns off when going out to the 7-Eleven/food stall.

Not too long ago PEA replaced all the electric meters in our housing estate with the new type meters. The chief engineer came to my house and asked me to look at my meter, he asked for me to take out my phone and record video of our conversation to show my wife. He showed me that my electric meter was faulty, the KW's were accumulating but the disc was seized (stopped). After replacing the meter, bills for the following month and every other bill were higher (quite a bit) but I was never asked for any additional money. I reckon I saved heaps over the many years.

I've been riding motorcycles from the age of 10yo. I love the feeling, the freedom, the wind and all the great things that come with riding. I also love the sound of a Harley, a Ducati, a big twin. I've had a few 4 cylinder Jap. bikes which sound awesome. The smaller twins, around 300cc just sound awful and what I don't like are the scooters with loud exhaust, they sound like a lawn mower and perform just as well. At the end of the day I reckon the cops are doing a good job, stopping these noisy bikes as most are really annoying. It's a shame the bigger bikes are policed in the same way.

Yes, 1 bolt only on each baffle. Easily lost also, many of my mates have removed and forgotten where they have put.

Yes, check to see if your DB Killers are fitted. My Ducati has TERMIGNONI exhaust fitted, with the baffles in the bike is much quieter.

Just get the many police on the streets to do their job. Every day I see the cops on their patrol bikes (pcx & Nmax) ignoring traffic offenses by the public and do nothing. But, if they see me do something wrong, BANG, they're on the horn pulling me up. The system is broken, the police need to be retrained, it seems they don't want to book their own (Thais).

2003 Is there Statute of Limitations on this offense? -
No dramas mate, just thought you were having a dig at me because your comment was off topic. Generally, when I receive a comment of topic it's a keyboard warrior with a sarcastic or hostile comment. Let's stay on topic, 'wearing pajamas in public'. BTW, you embarrass easily.

Daily Dangerous things you witness.
SAFETY FIRST replied to Iamfalang's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Where are you from, take a look at its crime. If you're concerned, Thailand probably isn't for you, have you thought about going back home? I work offshore, a colleague of mine had to move back to the UK with his Thai wife and kids after losing his offshore work. He was telling me of his nightmare, the crime, kids carrying knives, stabbing other kids, he is so sad having to leave Thailand. I'm Australian, I read the problems, the crime, the mess everyday of Australia and it's issues. I'm so lucky to be living here in Thailand. -

Sydney western suburbs. 2, obese Mt Druit females attacking each other in the supermarket, fighting over toilet rolls. It was a horrible sight, fat and cellulite, disgusting, popping out from everywhere and the stench was unbelievable. The store manager had to break it up and confiscated the bog rolls. I'm scarred for life, traumatized. Taking medication daily. Going to therapy. I hope I recover. -
Passanger without helmet, who pays the fine?
SAFETY FIRST replied to tethys's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I've noticed with all the cops about doing checkpoints the taxi motorbike riders are wearing their helmets. It just looks so odd, I have to readjust. -
Ha, ha, You would have blended in perfectly walking down soi Buakhao.

I've been posting here for some time and one thing I've noticed is, if you don't give all the facts some members will ask unnecessary questions, some even rude questions or comments like your comment. I was just making a point. I've been living in my house since arriving in Thailand. I'm isolated living in my house, I've never seen people walking around in their pj's. You can't win, you don't give enough information you get annoyed, you give too much information same. BTW, you get surprised easily, you need to get out, enjoy life.
