  1. No reason to forget it, because it wasn't the second part of the quote. Trump's first original complete quote before further questioning by a reporter: 'TRUMP: Excuse me, they didn’t put themselves down as neo-Nazis, and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group – excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down, of to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name'. 2. Still some around from then but few of them post here now. With 400 posts of War & Peace proportion, from the same person on exactly the same issue over recent times, maybe the thread has lost most of its appeal.
  3. Compared to the number of female Democrats in Congress, women are also under represented. So therefore the GOP are a mainly, straight white male Christian Nationalist party. If some how Trump wins and the Democrats lose the Senate and nothing changes in SCOTUS anything would then be possible even the rise a tyrannical Fourth Reich. Have we not learned anything from history and the founders. 'In the words of James Madison: “The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” Separation of Powers | We the People | CONSTITUTION USA with Peter Sagal | PBS
  4. Hunter may be a poor example of a son but no court has indicted Hunter let alone Joe Biden. Yet, Trump is a proven sex predator and twice impeached and indicted criminal defendant, awaiting trial by his peers. This is a just the GOP trying to demonise Joe Biden with whataboutism. Also to white-wash Trump and to satisfy this particular grievance which started with his 'perfect phone call' to extort Zelensky for dirt on Biden, which subsequently resulted in his first impeachment.
  5. Agree but it could get worse! After CNN sacked 'Extra Trumpy' CEO Chris Licht for his disastrous Trump Town Hall, Pro-Trump billionaire John Catsimatidis now wants to buy CNN. I suggest he would be another lesser Pro-Trump Murdoch, who has admitted in a deposition that his journos lie to support Trump. Billionaire John Catsimatidis Offers to Buy CNN, Wants $1 Per Year (businessinsider.com)
  6. Really? There are even DIY instructions to 'just walk in there'. How to Sneak into Mar-a-Lago Six ways to get into Trump’s hideous Florida compound, from a guy who’s tested them all. Why? For the fun of it … How to Sneak into Mar-a-Lago - Air Mail
  7. The Storm Shadow could be the weapon of choice. How Storm Shadow missiles could help Ukraine destroy the Kerch bridge (googleusercontent.com)
  8. The OP says that put vinegar on it. Actually vinegar can cause more venom to be released and it can increase the pain. If you have identified the culprit as man-o-war, I suggest hot water not exceeding 45C is the best treatment. Bluebottle-stings.aspx (racgp.org.au)
  9. Thanks, I appreciate your comment. Can be 5 times too, there are lots of variables with both pre and post. I was only generalising due to laziness on my part
  10. Their bias is well known, I was mainly focused on the pictorial detail.
  11. Though they well deserve a 'bigger stick' , I suggest it would motivate the Russian population to enlist in the war. The Ukrainians main advantage in this war is their resolve and commitment to win. The 'London Blitz' shows that Hitler's civilian bombing did nothing to break the population's spirit and resolve or to win his war but only syphoned resources away from his attack of military targets and defence.
  12. You would think that being a multi-billionaire that 'didn't need money', he would now still have his own charitable Foundation like Gates, Buffet or Bezos. Yet, what happened to the Trump Foundation. It was a charity non-profit set up by Trump to ingratiate Trump, his family and friends. What was notable was that he did give $7 to the Scouts, but it was to pay for his young son's registration fee. It was finally shut down in 2018 by the NY Attorney General What the Collapse of the Trump Foundation Tells Us About Donald Trump | The New Yorker (archive.md)
  13. Maybe attacking civilian targets could justify what Russia has done. I think Ukraine is better than that.
  14. A deeper analysis of the incident from Ukraine. So how many Leopard tanks did Ukraine lose near Mala Tokmachka? - Euromaidan Press
  15. I suggest Trump's POTUS run is only to escape legal jeopardy. Otherwise he would have been satisfied with his grift from donors/supporters and his past POTUS position. His playbook has always been to seek delay in any court action. Although Jack Smith is seeking a 'speed trial' and Florida has a 'rocket docket' policy, I would suggest Judge Cannon based on her past performance, may grant Trump a stay until at least the GOP Primaries. next year. Then Trump, as it is DOJ policy not to prosecute candidates during elections, he may get to election day where he thinks he may find a way to run out the clock.
  16. Not point in giving rabies vaccine post infection, once you are infected you will die, perhaps you mean post exposure. Vaccines can be given pre or post exposure. Pre exposure prophylaxis is usual three doses followed by two boosters if exposed, post is four doses with Rabies Immune Globulin.
  17. Summons indicates Trump-appointed judge will initially oversee case. 'The summons sent to Donald Trump as part of his indictment for illegally retaining classified documents indicates U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, who was appointed by the former president, will be assigned to oversee his case, at least initially, ABC reported on Friday, citing sources. Reuters was not immediately able to confirm the ABC report. Often, the judge who makes an initial appearance in a case does not proceed to oversee it.' 18. I would suggest that another lie added to the thousands that he has already told although significant will have no consequences and Trump will not be held accountable. Trump's lawyer said today that charges for this Mar-a-lago indictment include making false statements . These are the lies or false statements that will be Trump's nemesis. He will duly be judged in court by a jury of his peers and then he will be held fully responsible for them.
  19. There was Trump on tape for the E Carroll trial, the NY fraud criminal trial, the pending Georgia indictment for election and RICO crimes and now the Mar-a-lago indictment. Trump's big mouth has been a doubled-edged sword having lived by it he now has fallen on it. New..20min ago Donald Trump admits on tape he didn't declassify 'secret information' Former President Donald Trump acknowledged on tape in a 2021 meeting that he had retained “secret” military information that he had not declassified, according to a transcript of the audio recording obtained by CNN. “As president, I could have declassified, but now I can’t,” Trump says, according to the transcript. 20. Did I waste my time posting a reference to support my claims? Where is Australia 'bringing the power of the State against people for their thoughts' ? Under the new law this has not changed : 'In Australia, freedom of opinion gives us the right to hold a belief without interference, exception or restriction. We have the right to believe anything we want. We can believe the earth is flat or that alien cabals rule the world.'
  21. Perhaps pity and sadness for Australians is not necessary! 'We have the right to say what we want — to give our opinions, advertise, and protest — but within limits. we aren’t allowed to say fighting words, slander another person’s name, cause a panic, or incite violence, for example'. Free speech doesn't mean you can say whatever you want, wherever. Here's how to explain this to kids (theconversation.com) The amount of activity and conspiracy nonsense with these groups in US would not suggest that your laissez- faire tolerance approach has been that successful.
  22. I suggest delicacy and strength have little to do with it. Possibly, its because they can see the damage and division that other countries are suffering by the tolerance, acceptance and embrace of far right-wing ideologies. Australia's gun control legislation also demonstrates their affirmative stand against violence and the necessity to protect the well-being of their citizens. .
  23. Never been much of a Seth Rogen fan, so I was a bit apprehensive about watching this series. But I found the humour in the first episode of Platonic a real hoot! I definitely will continue . Platonic (TV Series 2023– ) - IMDb
  24. Yes, it was Russia's responsibility as stated at yesterday's WH briefing. 'Russia has no business to be there in the first place, this dam was under Russia’s control, and they bear responsibility for the destruction caused by this war' Ms Jean-Pierre. I agree, the over-filling of the dam which created maximum destruction and the timing, just before the proposed counter-offensive. was too coincidental to be anyone else but Russia.
