  1. I watched the 2020 version and OMG it was blood thirsty. It also wasn't worth watching, IMHO!
  2. Reading the topic heading I thought that's a very skilled crustacean, most people would hire a chef!
  3. i would suggest that it was mainly Murdoch who made Trump and he can also break him, like he did in Australia with PM Whitlam . "Kill Whitlam." "This was the confidential instruction for a political hit job issued by Rupert Murdoch to his editors' "The target was Australia's Prime Minister Gough Whitlam" 'Ten months after that "Kill Whitlam" directive, the prime minister was dismissed by the governor general of Australia' Trump not first politician to be ditched by Rupert Murdoch - BBC News
  4. More missiles today, Russia is bent on destroying Ukraine's infrastructure. More strikes have been reported across Ukraine, days after one of Russia's most intense bombardments of the war. "Officials say a gas production facility and a missile factory in Dnipro were among the latest targets and that at least four people died in one area. In recent weeks, Russia has looked to target key Ukrainian energy infrastructure, following a series of battlefield setbacks. Moscow has not yet commented on Thursday's alleged attacks" Ukraine war: Gas plant hit in latest Russian strikes - BBC News
  5. I found this video interesting. Russia has rockets but no asphalt! But now it hasn't many missiles left! Though it's from Ukraine I suggest that Russia's standard of living and services shown are not overly exaggerated. In the 2000's I was alone with Thailand's new Russian a/consul on a tour of the Golden Triangle, and he told me he was very impressed with Thailand's standard and was quite open about them his own country.
  6. Richest man in OZ pledges USD 500 million to a start a Rebuilding Ukraine Fund He is just as rich as ex Aussie Murdoch though I suggest a lot kinder and more benevolent. In fact, this is more than the total aid the Oz Govt has currently given. Though with a small population of only 25 million, it is still impressive. Andrew Forrest pledges $744 million towards rebuilding Ukraine, aims to attract investors - ABC News
  7. Possibly, here is the reason why and also why the Republicans want to repeal Biden's College initiatives. Education is tied to conspiracy theory belief. Also, TBH, supporters of Trump felt aliened by previous Govt's. and Trump offered to change that. Though he never kept his word. "Among other things, studies find that people are more likely to endorse conspiracy theories if they feel alienated, powerless and disadvantaged, and if they are distrustful of others. Additionally, a variety of demographic factors have been found to predict conspiratorial thinking, including low levels of education". Is Education Tied To Conspiracy Theory Belief? : 13.7: Cosmos And Culture : NPR "People with high education are less likely than people with low education to believe in conspiracy theories." Why Education Predicts Decreased Belief in Conspiracy Theories - PMC (nih.gov)
  8. You fail to understand that the US Constitution requires only the president to submit nominations for SCOTUS. Mid-terms don't change presidents. With respect, if you cannot answer questions about your posts, why comment on subjects that you know nothing about?
  9. Obviously you must have a reason for posting. Seems you are only posting to just waste others` time.
  10. Where have I deviated from the facts. Nothing is confirmed yet as this is only a preliminary US assessment. "The missile that crashed in Poland on Tuesday, killing two people, was from a Ukrainian air-defense system, according to two senior Western officials briefed on preliminary U.S. assessments, but Poland is continuing its own investigation of the explosion." Missile That Hit Poland Likely Launched by Ukraine in Air Defense, Western Officials Say - WSJ
  11. Elder bashing and impediment shaming are not a good look. Yet, when Trump talks on the World stage he is often the butt of jokes. I can truly say he is an embarrassment for the US.
  12. Are you are suggesting that Bob Woodward, of Watergate fame and one of the most trusted journalists in US is lying? Perhaps you please supply a factual link to support your post. Or are you just trolling?
  13. I would suggest that a lot of elderly non-working retirees would have moved their funds to low interest non-risk investments such as cash when COVID hit and have not moved them back to stocks until the market stopped bouncing. Especially when they have no way of replacement of funds.
  14. Co-incidental, comes to mind. Most of the world's lives and investments would have been better between 2016 and 2019 before COVID, supply change issues and Putin's war. Nothing to do with Trump!
  15. Whatever the reason it's still collateral damage from Putin's missile attack on Ukraine, Russia still needs to bear the responsibility for the blast.
  16. Another poster duplicated my post. Proves great minds think alike
  17. I suggest Putin didn't have a large enough war chest to fund his war when Trump was POTUS, and he was possibly waiting to see if his chosen candidate won in 2020. And if Trump had won, Trump would have supported his criminal mate against Ukraine and Nato. When Trump failed to win in 2020, Trump tried to order an unplanned and an immediate withdrawal from Afghanistan to leave mess for Biden. The withdrawal was always going be problematic but one almost a year before Biden's planned one it would have been a chaotic disaster. Trump secret memo ordering withdrawal from Afghanistan blindsided national security team: New Woodward/Costa book | CNN Politics
  18. The blockage from his torn-up incriminating presidential records may still be a problem!
  19. Possibly Trump is self-projecting here. The US electorate tried to clean out "the festering rot and corruption of Washington, D.C" in 2020 but the smell from the burgers seems to still linger on.
  20. The Federalist Society successfully got their members appointed to SCOTUS, what else were they trying to achieve?
  21. That biased ruling by SCOTUS in 2010 was a blow to Democracy by favoring big business to be able to make unlimited donations to the PAC's of the Republicans for favorable policies. Citizens United Explained | Brennan Center for Justice A similar thing with dark money from Federalist Society to support the nominations of their candidates to SCOTUS What in the World Happened to the Supreme Court? - The Atlantic
  22. Trump proposed to make an announcement about his intentions for 2022 tomorrow. I suggest that if he does run, this would be mainly because he thinks that this would help him escape from any criminality for his crimes. Also, for revenge for his hurt pride from the Republicans and Murdoch, who think that after his recent losses his involvement may be toxic in 2022. The GOP hardly gained anything in the mid-terms where traditionally the opposition always does. The loss for support from savvy Murdoch would have been when he saw Trump as a possible loss for his revenue stream. His media has openly called Trump Humpy Dumpty and a loser which evidently would be one of Trump's greatest insults. I think some Republicans may even actively assist the DOJ by "spilling the beans" on him. All in all, Trump must be in the worst well deserved predicament of his life, Karma can be a bitch. “I do think Trump believes he can avoid prosecution by running for president and causing delays. That’s another Trump strategy: Delay and run out the clock. But many Republicans simply have a selfish and practical interest in seeing Trump prosecuted and convicted—for anything, really. They want him out of their way either for their ambition or because he is clearly dragging the party down with bad candidates,” said Eric Owens, a retired lawyer who previously wrote for the conservative website The Daily Caller. Donald Trump’s Election Gambit to Avoid Charges Isn’t So Sound (thedailybeast.com)
  23. I agree with everything that your say except for the "moron" part which I think is too harsh. A lot of his supporters were not college educated. The middle-class in their view had more support from the Govt. Hence the GOP's attack on Biden's college loan forgiveness program to garner their votes. They had poor social services and poor health support, which I may suggest is one of the worst in the world even though Obama tried hard to change that. Trump promised he would rock the boat for them. It's paradoxical that they still supported him when he did little to improve their lot and mainly enriched himself and the big corporations with massive tax cuts. He even failed to produce a health plan which he had always promised.
  24. How could watching this not bring a tear to the eye? I wonder if Fox are showing similar for their GOP audience especially those ones who wish to reduce or withdrawn US support for Ukraine?
