  1. It could be useful as of now no clinical trials have been done so nothing has been proven. Not sure why you act like its a done deal when no real research has been done. I hope your right. Who does not want a generic medicine with little side effects.
  2. So you see it as treatment not protection because if used for protection it will be more expensive then vaccinations. I would love it if they complete the clinical trials and any medicine that helps against covid is great. Minimal side effects ? Not that i worry that much but if you want protection then taking it long term might be a problem. Anyway what I am saying is that its great but again no miracle. Lets hope it really works anything that helps treatment is great.
  3. There are no clinical trials done so no proof yet. But I dont see how this can be cheaper then a covid shot. Those shots are not expensive and help for over a longer period. So the cost thing you mention seems strange. Unless your talking about clearing it out after a infection.
  4. That is awfully socialist (part of paying in relation to what they earn) of you. While i totally agree with your last sentence. Just be happy the UK is far better of then the Netherlands we have a far larger problem with property availability.
  5. There is a limit to lies, BJ like Trump crossed it. But your main point is really valid. They always make things look better then they are. That is why I am happy that in the Netherlands there is a organization that puts all election programs from parties through a program to see how feasible they are (so they cant lie too much its mandatory). Then again my country has too many parties far from perfect I need to mention that because my country its politics has it good sides but it also has bad sides. Because of the many parties everyone compromises. (that is good and bad)
  6. So the UK negotiators were inferior to those of the EU. (otherwise how could they ambush such a smart guy) Keep on digging ????
  7. Your contradicting yourself from an earlier post unless you now claim BJ not having a brain. You responded to my post that had the half a brain quote saying that anyone who had one could see it was not going to be easy. Yet BJ said it was going to be easy and beneficial. So what is it is does BJ only have half a brain or is he a liar. I go for option two given his proven lies recently.
  8. I dont claim it the data claims it. Its just the facts and of course its not the end of the world. Hardly its just a stupid self inflicted wound. But it is a big contrast with the rosy predictions and promises made by the biggest liar of the UK BJ. These are numbers and facts not opinions, economists have proven it so its not a case of believing in an opinion these are facts backed up by numbers.
  9. Had a leg wound that i did not notice and bled a bit on sheets did not pay for it (recently). Have paid for blood on the sheet before from a girl. It happens I can understand the hotel if they make me pay.
  10. People who were pro Brexit most of them will keep defending their choice even though the numbers show your right. The UK is doing worse then other comparable EU countries. The only difference is Brexit. The facts are the facts, but no matter how much we repeat them the die hard Brexiteers wont change. The moderate ones and the ones willing to admit they were wrong (seen a more then a few) accept that that Brexit did more damage then good. The others, don't waste your time it won't happen. But at least the truth is finally clear for those with an open mind. But anyone with half a brain could have seen this coming cutting yourself off the biggest trading block near you and expecting the same privileges as before is not going to happen. BJ lied and lied and lied but people kept believing in him.
  11. I dont think its about country of origin (unless the guy is a nationalistic ......) I think its more a matter of taste that he likes. He just remembers them from when he lived in the UK. We all got things we like.
  12. She was born in Thailand, in Bangkok in a hospital. She had an old document but the Belgian (local) government needed a recent copy for some actions. (i know the poster personally just dont know enough about this process)
  13. Does it take a lot of time to get this data, or is it something they can do fast ? MFA can you get an agent to do that for you ? I remember that was possible in the past.
  14. AS long as it takes, maybe if we start giving some real offensive weapons like tanks. This is nothing like those proxy wars. This is a war in Europe that could go on if Russia wins. You heard Putins plans(expansion). So this war as long as it takes and if we give some good weapons instead of worrying about Russia's reaction we can end this. China is watching if we give in here money will go into Taiwan next. I think its better to prevent things now and make it clear to Russia and China that these kinds of wars wont end well and stabilize the world again.
  15. Of course China is watching. Taiwan would be next and then war is in our little corner of the world. We should stand firm and keep supporting Ukraine. Nobody likes spending money on this but its for a safer future. I really don't get the people who think that Russia after a negotiated peace would stop. They already demonstrated they wont. They caught Crimea and made peace and now invaded again. If they are not really beat down they will start all over again in a few years
  16. Right they appeased Hitler too and guess what happened. Guess some people never learn from history. First Russia invaded and took Crimea, and now it took other lands and you expect him to stop without being defeated.
  17. They should have scrapped the subs and gotten new surface ships. But maybe the cut on surface ships is less. Who knows. Seems they don't often buy stuff here based on need but on commission. I would not surprised to find out that it was lack of maintenance or hatches not closed. But it will probably stay hidden as it would embarrass some people.
  18. I think the fact that he was drunk had more to do with it. Alcohol makes people more violent. In many cases of violence alcohol is in play.
  19. Its annoying to have them targert people for minor things like this. However if you dont get deported / fined for overstaying why would all of us "normal" people jump through the hoops.
  20. Just one thing about VPN they have a hard time hiding everything if you run it on your computer. It works better if you run it on your router. That way there is less chance of sites picking up on it. Also a problem is that the IP address you get can be known by the big sites and then they still know your on a VPN.
  21. Just came back from Koh lipe in the South. No masks in sight maybe once in a while a Thai with a mask but that was it. It was as if there was no covid. It was a great holliday. I am fed up with masks but wear them where i have too but I do hate them mainly because of my glasses fogging up.
  22. I stayed out of this as not to add to my supposed UK hating image. But been reading and the UK is indeed doing worse then the EU. Brexit is part of it but to think that Brexiteers would admit to it is naive. People are set in their minds. But there are quite a few former Brexiteers among fishermen that have changed their mind. Seen some documentaries about it. The benefits just did not appear. Not that its all roses and rainbows in the EU, that latest corruption scandal is a good example. I just see the EU as a good thing overal with drawbacks. Countries will always go for what they want and that makes the EU hard to control. Plus of course its easy to blame the EU for everything by politicians instead of admitting they dropped the ball on certain regulations. Like in my country with their nitrogen rules. Now they blame the EU instead of themselves for years of inactivity. Now it has to be rushed and problems arise. It will always be easy to find faults in governments and the EU. In the UK you had that disaster that whipped out a lot of money and goodwill (Truss and her economic plans). Same goes for the EU there will always be problems and idiots. Brexit is done that is not going to change lets see what will be done to cushion the blows. But its a big difference from all the benefits that were touted and did not happen. Now all what can be done is try navigate the fallout.
  23. Maybe you should let science decide instead of your opinion. Alcohol addiction is far worse and far more damaging then cannabis (talking about cannabis not other drugs). Nobody ever died of a cannabis overdose alcohol on the other hand quite a few each year).
  24. again Thanathorn is differen to bring him in this discussion is just stupid. Thaksin was corrupt no question about it. So he deserves the punishment. Others do too but it wont happen soon. Your reasoning is let all the corrupt bastards go until the judiciary changes. (Will take years if not decades and all the time they can do what they want). Not a good solution. That is like saying lets not check for people who drink and drive as we can't get them all and some people are above the law. It still helps bring down at least a bit. Better then nothing. Instead of dodging the real question what to do until the judiciary changes. Let them all free or what ? That is the core issue. I dont really expect an answer as you bring in Thanathorn and that is foolish as it about a proven corrupt leader. Thanathorn is not corrupt.
  25. So no constructive answer and the fail for comparing him with Thaksin. I should have known.
