It's a fundamental flaw of the Thai/Chinese business culture. The common belief here is that the boss can do anything and everything. He's the boss, after all. 

Their success will have everything to do with how many foreigners they think the country will "lure" to Thailand. That is their only business plan. Get more Chinese in...

Thailand is, as a rule, anecdotal. There is little consistency in anything. Economies in Thailand often do not follow normal market principles because they are entirely opaque and uncompetitive. 

What a banana republic. There seem to be only a handful of people in Thailand that just do "business". Any kind of business. Oil, airlines, whatever. These super Thais can run any kind of business. They are so talented. 

They deserve the massive international shame coming to them.

He may have been right... The Thais only tested a handful of people per day, so who knows exactly how many infections there are...

I'll tell you what. Thais are robust people for sure. There are so many stories of them surviving what us old Farangs never do. 

Not making light of the seriousness, but I was not surprised that she survived. 

Again, their sneaky plan all along. Under test and under report the virus numbers and get tourists back and medical tourists in ASAP before the Thai economy collapses.

It's true about everything in Thailand. Thailand is consistently inconsistent. You might even get a different answer at the same bank branch from a different account rep. Likely, actually.
