Possible return to the UK, without any money.
Burma Bill replied to Terry2905's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Yes indeed. As a UK Citizen with a National Insurance Number (NIN) and "qualifying years", your nearest Social Security Office to where you land should assist you. Should you arrive at LHR, and as posted elsewhere, there is a Social Security office within the airport. I wish you good luck and a stress free time back in the UK. -
Four Thais charged in Malaysian court for human trafficking
Burma Bill replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yes indeed - the same case. This time 4 of those allegedly involved, now face trial in a Malaysian Court. Previous defendents, including the General, were tried in a Thai Court. -
A disgraceful statement. These are not "pesky kids" but people of voting age who will be angry (and quite rightly so) if their democratic vote is not recognised by the "dinosaur" anti-democracy establishment.

Professor Catherine Mason, senior coroner for Leicester City and South Leicestershire, said: "A cause of death has been provided. The cause of death is provisional until the formal hearing. Leicestershire Police said last week his death was not believed to be suspicious. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-leicestershire-64732942

Evidently yes. I researched the possibilty a few days ago and Air Asia offer Fly-Thru fares from Siem Reap (where I live) to Rangoon and Mandalay, via DMK. Only nationals from these countries can get a tourist visa on entry: Australia China Germany India Italy Russia Spain Switzerland Tourists from all other countries must apply for an E-visa in advance and believe me, there are many requirements! https://visaguide.world/visa-on-arrival/myanmar/

Yes indeed. Reference from July 2017:- A Thai general was among 62 people convicted by a court on Wednesday of various charges, including murder, torture, rape, money laundering and human trafficking. Lieutenant General Manas Kongpan received 27 years for human trafficking and other offenses. The 103 defendants, all of whom pleaded not guilty, included Thai police officials, businessmen, bureaucrats and Myanmar nationals. Thai officials initiated the case in 2015 after the discovery of more than 30 bodies at an abandoned human trafficking camp in the southern Songkhla province close to the Thai-Malaysian border. https://www.dw.com/en/army-general-among-thais-convicted-in-rohingya-mass-graves-case/a-39746882
