Very commendable action and I wish you success. As you quite rightly said this only affects the UK State OAP. My State OAP is also frozen here in Cambodia (same rate as 14 years ago), however both my UK Government Civil Service Retirement and my Local Government Retirement Pensions are NOT FROZEN and I receive all the increases due. I did make enquiries some years ago and as far as I can remember, it will take an Act of Parliament to change the relevent section of the Social Security Act of 1948 to "unfreeze" these pensions. Unfortunately, easier said than done!

Very much so, and thanks, but it regularly happened on Air Asia flights from Khon Kaen (KKC) to DMK. I used to sit and watch many Thai passengers in the "red seats" being given pre-packed food from the trolley which was then placed in a bag and taken off the plane for consumption at a later time! I found out that these passengers were Government/Local Government employees who were given upgraded red seats and food. Maybe they all had tapeworms - not unusual from eating Thai raw food!

Maybe so, but you have the option to discard the add-ons when making your booking e.g. Choice of seat - delete Book a meal - delete Travel Insurance - delete Baggage in hold - delete - the fare decreases accordingly and then, with respect, compare with Nok Air. For reference: Only Thai Air Asia, Malay Air Asia and Bangkok Airways serve Siem Reap in Cambodia. Nok Air has no flights to Cambodia.

Very sorry to read of your concerns and I have heard other peoples comments (as above) when I lived near Khon Kaen. Similar with the local RAM hospital - both very expensive (medical insurance). I used the private Rachapruek Hospital around the corner, northwards on Route 2, not "5-Star Hilton Hotel" luxury but ideal for me as I did not qualify for medical insurance being an insulin dependent Type 2 diabetic. I wish you well.

Same for me (when I lived in Thailand). As a "valued" (air miles) customer, I received a small discount. I used to book on line then confirm by paying cash at my local 7-11 (no card details involved).
