Probe ordered into large amount of missing Navy ammunition
Burma Bill replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
From link to OP: CSI LA also questioned why a large amount of ammunition went missing as fighting raged in Myanmar between government troops and anti-government rebel forces. Admiral Pokkrong warned the media that raising such suspicions may lead to public misunderstanding and affect the relationship between Thailand and Myanmar. Personally, I hope the ammunition ends up in the hands of the rebels in their fight for democracy against the terrorist organisation, The Tatmadaw! IMO (excluding the ears), he has a face resembling that of a Bloodhound: Definition of a Bloodhound (Wikipedia): The bloodhound is a large scent hound, originally bred for hunting deer, wild boar and, since the Middle Ages, for tracking people

With the greatest respect, the return of Hong Kong to China by the UK went very smoothly. Prince Charles and Governor Chris Patten were the senior UK Representatives. It was what happened after the PRC got control that caused all the grief with broken promises etc. Personally I do not trust the Chinese and, like what is happening in Thailand with boycotting businesses, I never knowingly buy Chinese products, unless made in Taiwan, like my ACER computer. TAT - may I suggest you pressure the "anti" senators into supporting Pita to maintain "tourist" figures. If not, you can wave goodbye to foreign tourists including those with pre-booked holidays which they will cancel if protesters take to the streets. Senators with businesses linked to tourism will suffer - good!!!

Personally, I totally disagree. Were you living in Thailand throughout Thaksin's duration as PM like I was?? He turned BAD things into GOOD things for many, many ordinary Thai folk like those living up north in Lanna and Isaan, as I did. He shifted money from Bangkok to bring the North into the 21st Century, and that is one of the reasons he is still very popular. I certainly admire him whatever BS comes from the Southern anti - brigade!

I have contracted this infection in my groin area over several years. My doctor said it was fungal infection due to the warm and moist area of my groin whilst living in tropical conditions with high humidity. I was told it was caused by the wearing of tight clothing and I remember my UK doctor telling me to "ditch my Y-Fronts, wear boxer shorts and let it all hang free"! I recently suffered another infection and my Khmer doctor prescribed Clotrimazole Fungizap gel. Cost me 7,000 riels (1.75 $US). Wonderful stuff which cleared my infection in no time!

Ceremony held to remember those who died during Tham Luang rescue

Known as "Dom" , the captain of the Wild Boars FC, the UK Coroners Court verdict into his sad death is still unknown. At the original hearing in Leicester City and South Leicestershire Coroners Court back in February 2023, the verdict was adjourned until July 6 2023. Here we are at the 14th July 2023 and no verdict to date. I have been monitoring the local UK media with no succes to date. It is believed he died in hospital from a non-suspicious head injury, but we will have to wait and see! -

It would have been nice to have seen a picture of the proposed finished structure, rather than a photo of cut rock and reinforcing wire!! -
Where to exchange Cambodian Riel Money in Pattaya?

At 79 going out looking for women is not my scene these days, but they are available in the NIGHT bazaar and PUB street areas. Crime - basically petty theft. There are no condo blocks in Siem Reap due to height restrictions. All buildings MUST NOT exceed the height of Angkor Wat on religious grounds. So, the maximum height of any building is 5 floors! There are, of course, many apartments to rent. I rent the complete upper floor of a villa style building whilst my landlord and his family live on the ground floor. I have a balcony, with furniture, which leads into a part furnished lounge area and kitchen area. There is an adjoning toilet/shower room. Then a very large furnished bedroom with a second toilet/shower room and air conditioning. The rent per month is 300 US$ (just over 10,000 Thai baht per month) which includes water and refuse collection. Electricity and internet is seperate. Photos:
