when i got my new passport the first thing my embassy here asked me if i want a letter from the embassy confirming the passport change and so on.. i think it was 450 baht. i said of course, sure. i think all embassies should ask you the same question and provide you with a letter. Its very easy to do. i dont understand why they dont or trying not to give you this letter.

i have an account with almost all of the banks in thailand, never had an issue with passport numbers. some asked to see the old passport and some not even bothered. But i had some problems with the bank book. it was branch related not passport numbers. I must say my most problems are from bangkok bank. im thinking to close all of my account there.

i dont know this will help or not OR will give you some ideas. 3-4 years ago i was using agency for my non-o marriage. they were doing my 90 days too. Never asked for tm30 just because they also did tm30 with the immigration they were doing extension or 90 days. So i dont know but if it was a must to show tm30 at that time probably they were using that documents they already did. i stopped using agency 1 year now. did 1 90 days at the immigration and 1 online. when i went to do my 90 days at the immigration i also printed out my TM30 and gave them. IO didnt say anything and took all the documents. i also noticed every people's documents they had TM30. im pretty sure. PS: @DrJack54 this was nonthaburi immigration.. i tagged you because you wondered for other IO reports. So i kind of think they want. it seems its different situation but better to know. also i would say now there is some really effort going on to catch over stays or agency user visa owners.

So you were studying at a language school, and want to study at another one. Not trolling or joking but i was wondering your thai level now, any improvment? Also again not trolling and wondering after you reach super thai level speaker level whats your plans? Cooking classes?

I have just done my 90 days online a week ago. It was so easy and fast. Applied on saturday and got my 90 days report on tuesday morning. Maybe you can try. Before this online i did at immigration. All they asked was my tm30 and passport copy and the old report

Preaper 2000 baht just in case. Thats the fee for failing fill tm30 for long time.

Im not sure but dont get surprise if they charge you extra 50 baht or they open the meter from 50. This is because they are airport taxi and its normal so dont think its kinda scam.

A suggestion from old experience: if you are planinng to do land border, dont even try cambodia. I have been refused like maybe 10 years ago and the reason was im abusing my visa. And i do believe IO was right but lol Though yours is first multi so maybe wont be a problem.

probably its all about language and communication problems due to agency eng level VS OP thai level. there is no thai company or agency or any business in thailand that will tell you the truth about whats going on. its thai way. though i wouldnt wait no more 1-2 weeks from today

well obviously OP know about this agency or introduced by a friend or likewise. or even used it before. so that means most likely they are legit. Again most likely they are having problems with the immigration officer. probably he is busy or lazy to do. or maybe hes asking for more money. missing boss thing is just something to earn more time. I dont know the english level of the agency or OP's thai level but by missing the agency guys most likely wanted to say they dont know where he is at the moment or they cannot reach him at the moment. i totally agree with your illegal activity warning though.

you dont need to worry about your visa because if the agency going to do that time on the passport has no importance. and i have friends using agencies. they all confirmed that this year things are really slow. normally they get their passport back in 4 weeks but this time it was 6 weeks. so i would say hang on and wait. there is no danger. the worst scenario is you will go to the police station and tell them you lost your passport then take the police report to your embassy. that cannot find the boss seems just a lie. if the boss was not around they would never tell you about this. they are just trying to earn some time. seems to me 2 different scenarios happening here: a) they really lost your passport and trying to find it. this is a very common thing even with the best known agencies. b) they are just waiting your passport from the immigration just wait another 1 or 2 weeks then if the passport is still with you go and file a lost report at the police station. meanwhile call the agency every 2-3 days. good luck

Hotels do tm30 via their computer system. So you dont need to do anything. If you rent a house or likewise you need to do Both options YOU must do your 90 days by yourself.

I just cannot understand what is more important; to do your visa on friday and feel happy or being lazy and drinking 12 hours more beer and risking or stressing your self by not doing your extension... Just cannot understand how some people can be this confy and then complain when the immigration does their job. If i was the immigration and of i had the power to do, i would happly reject your extension and tell you to leave the country as soon as possible so you will pay less overstay. Just go and do it in friday man!

So is there such a thing to 'freeze' your visa and use exempt visa?? That would be cool. Imagine people get a visa but never use it till the expire date but keep using exemp visas..

Dont worry about what you posted. This forum is full of 'go to agency'or 'which agency is better' suggestions. Well bribing a gobernment officer is a crime and illegal. So... i dont think you posted anything bad. Though my suggestion is send her back to myanmar and tell her to get an ID. Also i feel like your scammed when your buying her a thai id.

Hi guys, a friend of mine is working at a university and he has a visa and work permit from this university. He got a pert time teaching from another university. part time university sent a letter to his full time university and asked if its ok they let him work with them and full time university accepted and send a letter to the part time university. a week later part time university asked my friend's original passport and work permit so they can take it to the labor office and put a stamp or something similar to his work permit which will show he is working here as part time. So it will be 1 full time and 1 part time stamps on his work permit. part time university will show all the letters from both university's to labor office. his question is: will it effect his full time job or will harm his visa or work permit some how? If the answer is no will he pay tax for this because it will be on his work permit too. thanks

hi yes you need a new tm30 you or your landlord can do in 3 ways: go to the immigration, website and mobile app i strongly suggest mobile app. its super easy. you can do it with your landlord. it will take probably 5-10min i suggest take all step's screenshots. print and copy
