I strongly suggest not use bangkok bank. I have many bad experience with this bank. They are slow and more other things. The work process is terrible. Im really happy with krungthai bank.
-
did they give you ATM card with that account?
many years ago when i came to thailand i went to bangkok bank and wanted to open an account they did it easily but no ATM card. Also i could take money only from the Bangkok bank HQ in bangkok. no other branch in the whole thailand only the main HQ.
Is your account something like this?

Ok... now everyone in thailand is talking about amnesty. We will have another one or not. nothings clear and we have only 2 weeks left.
I know many people staying and living in thailand rightfully BUT also many people using tricks and magical ways to stay. I know many people deserved to stay and many not.
But amnesty is actually not the solution. It can really help only if Thailand let people to stay UNTIL no covid all around the world or really really very safe to fly back to your country. Thats the end. Are they going to do that?
If they or people want a solution right now before covid ends... its actually really easy. Now at this point first i will talk about tourists who are really stuck here. Why they or their embassy contact with their government and arrange a flight to come and take them? This kind of flight seen in many cases. 1 flight in 2-3 days would solve all the problems. Because we all know thai government dont want TR visas stay here. But they are also aware that TR visas spend money as long as they stay here instead of tourists visiting thailand but cant visit now. But i really think this problem could be solved. Here another question comes.. Thailand wants to help people who stuck here because most likely their own coutry is dangerous and people are dying because of covid and thailand want to protect them? well, no need to say but i think who lives in thailand for 10 and more than 10 years know the answer is no. We know this from all the procedures we have to go along for our even easiest paper works. and im not even mentioning many IO funny stuff.
So whats the solution, really easy: If thailand really care about the human life stuck here they could say hey, we arranged a meeting with your government and decided that they will send a flight here and take you back to home, but just because we care human life we are giving you an option of staying here but pay 1900 baht every month till its safe to go.. or go back with that plane to your home. If you accept to stay here, we are sorry but no more travelling but just local places (well you must pay the price of surviving the covid) Thats all!
Now, for the non-o visas.. For the people who could extend for 1 year... no problem. Great. But for the ones using single or multi.. They could say ok you are here to visit your family or likewise using 1 month or multi non-o visa. So we have a solution for you. Pay 1000 baht for a month (because if im not mistaken 1000 for single non-o) till its safe to go. Or we are giving you the option to extend your non-o without any serious problems if you can. Again your only allowed to travel your local area. Thats all!
For Non-o retirement... again if we think thailand thinking about the human lives, they could say.. ok guys we already know you earned your staying in thailand because you already have income or money in the bank. So lets continue doing that. Just obey the rules (money in the bank or show income as usual) we are all good... Thats all!
For other visas such as Ed and likewise.. its the same thing.
So this kind of amnesty really would help people. Or staying in thailand for another 1 or 2 months will change nothing. Covid will not end in 2-3 months... And the visa regulations wont get easier or be the same as before. or there wont be any more 14 days quarantine. or no more $100.000 insurance nonsense, etc.
i just wanted to share my opinion. Im pretty sure i said many funny or wrong things but in my mind most of them make sense..
what do you think? thanks

I think is to late for them to announce their will be no amnesty. They would of announced it already since nothing is required by the cabinet to do that.
I think it will be done at next week's Tuesday cabinet meeting if it is put on the agenda.
I hope so.. another question can farangs fly domestic? Airasia or nok air?

You'll receive an extension.
You certainly won't be getting into Laos anytime soon. So forget that option.
And what extension it is? Im rejected from almost every where and actually rejected wrongly from nonthaburi IO..
Are you talking about another visa amnesty? I dont think we will have another and i really wish im wrong. If we would have one we would hear about it todays meeting.. but i say again i really wish we would have another one... but its not the solution because after that amnesty end.. still it wont be easy to go and come back to thailand especially after this rayong thing

great news Problemfarang, one less tress...????
well lets cross finger and hope the voice on the phone was right and the officer who will really do the things agree with her. lol
the best part was the moment she said its not a problem if my visa expire or not but must do before 31 july. She was really more interested where im living i mean the house book than where im working. I told her 2 times im working in BKK and she said its ok.
the problem here is i need to go and come back again if some paper work is wrong... damn
Well so far im ready with whatever CW IO told me to prepare. If KK IO not add anything to that list, im good
-
Interesting
I called KK IO and fully explained my situation. Told them i have expired non o and wife house and work in KK but my work is in bangkok. Asked them if i can get 1 year expension.. first she thought im trying to get nonb but another explanation she got all yhe points and problems.
She said i can do it. So im going to khon kaen ????
She made it clear its not a problem even if my visa expired. Then she told me to bring my 400k bank info i told her i will do it via salary she said then tax and payment slip.
Well sounds like its kk then...

Hi,
So i will try to go to CW with another solution.
I will ask one of our family friend to give her house book copy and ID signed. My plan is after extending my visa for 1 year (non o multi) i will go to nonthaburi IO and tell them i moved in to a new house here.
Questions: you think iy can be done? And what does our friend should do? I mean we will tell CW shes a friend and let us leave there till buying a new house. She needs to write a letter to IO saying allowing us to stay there till we get a new house? Or how we can make a contract thing? Any samples?
Thanks

If you cannot do it at CW, I am sure some agent serves Nonthaburi. A 60-day should not be prohibitive, because there is no district-level sign-off (extra 10K+ baht for that).
Please let me know if you know anyone can help. Can send me private message. Thanks

If your wife was not with you when tried to apply for the 60 day extension that may the reason for it being denied since she has to be with you.
No the reason at nonthaburi was because my visa is expired. For both extansion and 60 days.
But CW said its not a problem
I have no idea anymore. I accept that will leave the country and try to come back again. Seems there is no other solution
Thursday will try CW first for 1 year if not, 60 days.. if not.. nothing to do.. go laos 14 days get non-o come back thailand 14 days...

you could come back to nonthaburi immigration and tell them that CW bangkok said it was ok to do so, these small province need to follow the rule of law in bangkok, just being sarcastic. its frustrated how these different office live in their owned little bubble
Yes its just.... stress.. nothing more.. one say ok one say no

37 minutes ago, ubonjoe said:
Yes if you have not applied for one since you last entered the country.
Before doing it wait to see if they extend the amnesty. If they do you can wait until later.
Thats my plan @ubonjoe But why nonthaburi immigration didnt do it. They said NO to 60 days too.
So maybe can try at CW for 60 days
My wife lives in khon kaen. Maybe i can go there for 60 days and ask do we have any report from khon kaen?
This is what i dont understabd.. so where i cna do this 60 days? Nonthaburi IO said no. CW says i dont live in Bkk.. so what?

It is normal that you would apply in the province where you are working and have a work permit issued there when applying for an extension based upon working.
I don't think that would apply in your case since you are applying for one based upon marriage.
So even the information desk snd the guy giving numbers said i can probably.. you say cannot. Tbh im going to believe you.. but i will still try and see... damn i had some hope ????
do you think have chance for 60 days?
Bank account.
