  1. I have a load of these direct from the hospital, don’t really do anything to relieve the pain at all. I take 2 at a time and feel no benefit from them whatsoever. Not sure if fake capsules, but, as I already said, directly from the hospital, or just really inderdosed.
I made a mistake my brand is different. Wonder why they gave you a generic?
  2. I use a 3 head shaver from Ali express for 300 baht. I have no idea how they make them and sell at a profit until I dropped it and broke into a dozen pieces but did the job good

Except Closer to the neck. Bought another and keep next to the pc and do a quick shave a few times a day before a final blade shave when I shower

  3. We've been getting by with Laughing Bird Aussie Dry Red. Actually it's not bad. If memory serves, it was mentioned earlier on or perhaps another thread. Deep red color and medium/full bodied. 13. 5% alc. 1.5 ltr bottle is B469 @ Tesco/Lotus.

Also decent is another Aussie red, Charles Strong. 750ml bottle @ Tesco is B299.
I think the bird is probably best value out there atm

Mind blowing how the wine sector has become a rip off. In Pattaya at the moment and the friendship supermarket where I buy wine never has a single person in the wine section around 7 pm when it should be busy

  4. My last comment as you obviously have a comprehension defect.

You have no idea about my salary and how it compares to corporate America, suffice to say i also do not and would not live here on 45,000/month. However i would never look down on those who do, their life, their choice.
At least double or triple if your renting to the level you were accustomed to in the West
Sadly way to many downgrade to a shoe box. More $$ for pussy and beer must be the mindset
  5. If you get the baht bus to the far side of the island, 30 baht, Tien beach is my favourite, you have white sandy beaches, tree cover, crystal clear shallow water, ideal for the kids to swim in, and good food brought to your lounger. See as many Thais as farangs there and minimum of Chinese. Great place to chill out for the day with your family.
My favorite to and the topless beer drinking Russian babes in g strings don't go unnoticed but I usually rent a motor bike from the pier side and visit a few of the no China beaches especially if I stay over night

  6. There are a couple, but such shows are not as up front as in the west.

But there are bars, mainly frequented by wealthy middle aged women, several along Suk. Road, mostly in well set up basements under hotels, many young hot waiters. Male customers and gatoey not allowed. From my knowledge in some venues the waiters are shirtless, some white shirt and tie, long black pants.

There's also many clubs where ladies sit around alone or with girl friends and many young full dressed handsome well groomed waiters who are available for the full thing.

Also a couple of 'no hands' venues. Female customer selects a young man from a glass fronted room and then she selects a meal. She goes to a private room and sits on the only chair (straight back chair), someone brings the meal in and it's put on a table near the chair. Then the young man she selected comes in and sits nude on her lap facing her and with hard equipment, she fondles him whilst he feeds her with a spoon. Not free of course and further developments possible.

Most of the above quite expensive.

Some of these venues in Bkk, also Pattaya and Phuket and probably in other locations.

Learn something new every day. 10 years on lower Sukhumvit and had no idea
  7. Sure, if your life is surrounded around a party or sex, of couse Pattaya.
Koh Larn seriously that place was ruined a few years ago.
There are much more beautiful and unspoiled mountain venues in CM and they do not stink and are not full of crowds and flies.
So, that is not my definition of a retirement lifestyle.
Just to add, I live in Pattaya because I am not ready to be in full retirement mode.  Once I am, CM will be my choice I think much better suited for retirement atmosphere.
PS: the restaurant choices and particularly the locations on rivers and lakes are better in Chiang Mai.
Much better actually many places in the mountains, in and outside the city just spectacular.
Disagree about koh larn. If you don't go to the rubbish tip you won't see it. Was there a few weeks ago and you could count the pebbles in the water from the ferry. Still crystal clear

Sure it's not a premium unspoilt paradise but good for a clean swim and so close to Pattaya
