  1. It depends on whether you need the transfer to show as a Foreign/International Transfer for Immigration purposes. Wise have got their own way around this, and it has always shown as an FTT, but takes a day longer to arrive. No problem if you are not running on the bread line.
  2. I have always sent my monthly Immigration transfer via Wise to Bangkok Bank, ticking the long term stay option. This has always made it take until 14.04 the next day to arrive in Bkk Bank. Today I did exactly the same, and got the message that it would be here in 7 hours ie on 31st May, when it needs to be in June. I cancelled the transfer and will do it again later this evening so that it arrives, as a Foreign Transfer on 2nd June.
  3. But neither is Wise. Never had any problems with either in the past 10 years. Sent GBP 400 from N'wide to Wise last week and it was instant....Faster Payments System. I see Nationwide and Virgin are combining later this year. Just did 100 quid, Nationwide to Barclays, and then back again..............instant.
  4. Did GBP 4000 from Wise to Nationwide last Saturday. Immediately out of my Wise, advised that it would take 6 hours. OK, there was a UK Bank Holiday on Monday. Nationwide told me to get a Forward Trace with Wise. Money was with Nationwide all the time, for 'Verification', and arrived on Tuesday. Nationwide gave me GBP 50 for wrong information. Sent GBP 40 to Virgin Credit Card yesterday.......still not arrived, but debited from my Wise account immediately. What's going on here.
  5. Does that not depend on how much you remit to Thailand? There is a personal/wife allowance, than a substantial 0% band, then it goes up in 5%, 10% etc bands. Not too difficult to negotiate.
  6. Sir Edward, Greig and Mendelsohn for me. Oh, and Brian Wilson!
  7. At last, I agree with you ! But not mopping floors.
  8. I am the only one ! And happy with it.

  11. On 'the other side' it was the man's daughter which the Russian insulted. Hmmmmm.
  12. Starting tomorrow, individuals using mobile banking in Thailand must ensure that the name registered on their mobile SIM card matches the name on their bank account.
  13. I can log into my Bangkok Bank mobile app on a phone with my UK O2 SIM card, or on a phone without ANY SIM card.
  14. 76 and never ever tried.
  15. And the one about the guy who enabled ICU cars to run on water.
  16. You do not need a SIM card to access mobile internet banking
  17. Yes Clakson's stuff was not up to hygeine standard when powdered, and then got bacteria. Does your first sentence mean that I can raise my own Pangolins, but not hunt in the wild? 555
  18. OK, or as your Thai partner might say, up to you. Once programmed, it is so good to have lights come on and off, brightness, colour etc without intervention. Works on my Aircon and Purifyer too, and can control with my Amazon Firestick remote, or Google.
  19. As featured on Clarkson's Farm, S3. He grew them in an old dark bunker, but was banned from selling. I have seen powdered form on Lazada and also a kit to grow myself. So I got one for Bht 50, which say it should give mushrooms for 2 years simply by spraying each day. Anyone know anything about this thing please?
  20. I fitted a WiFI thingy in my fusebox, which sends constant data to a phone app. I can see consumption any time. It seem to agree with my meter readings, which I do every morning....I pass the meter on morning dog walk.
  21. Is knocking a ball in a hole not the same wherever you do it?
  22. Who owned the car from 2006 to 2019, five years ago?
