Why not take your your wife and child back to your home country? It may motivate her to stop if she has a big change in her life as she is obviously in a rut
At the very worse it will be lot harder for her to score meth in a foreign country and if she does you report her to the authorities and you will get custody and she can bugger off-

Why not take your wife with you back to 1st world [emoji288]Short version. Passing through Thailand - never intended to stay long because of nightmare stories about immigration. Met my now-wife who worked at a hotel where I was staying. I had to know if she was "really like that" or putting on an act (as all people do to an extent, when they first meet - especially romantically). I learned about how the Tourist Visa system worked (this site and elsewhere), and decided to give it a go until the illusion wore-off, so I would not spend the rest of my life asking "What If ???"
Years pass - she is still the same person I met - amazing - had given up on a relationship years before due to the programming of Western women into ... (you pick the adjective). Thai food and culture are a great match for me. I found Immigration's corruption-level to be manageable to avoidable, if one followed procedure. Reports here of those on retirement and marriage were almost all good, at that time (I knew to avoid Phuket and Chiang Mai).
About five years after arrival - got married when I am almost 50 anyway (so not for the visa). It was then that the ugly side of the bureaucracy - the HATERS - became evident. Trying to get married - amphoe after amphoe making up ways to prevent it. Then the Non-O stamp - more corruption. Then the marriage-extension - more corruption. Strangers in uniforms staring at you like they'd like to kill you if they could get away with it - and my wife, too - like we were "prey."
I came in just as the path to stay legally and honestly was all going to hell, it seems. Bummer. But I still love my wife, and will remain to support her as long as possible.-

The old German beer house and the 2 story English sports bar next door will be showing it at the trendy complex soi 13.
The English pub usually takes bookings so maybe to late
However the German beer house doesn't and Nothing like a full blown pork knuckle for breakfast or for the less adventures they do a 99 baht English breakfast
And as already mentioned Margarita Storm also on the corner of soi 13 will be showing it with happy hour from 7am [emoji797]

Your talking horizontal separation OUTSIDE of controlled air space being visual control by the pilotIt does not matter what the flight numbers are, a plane is a plane.
Air traffic control demands a horizontal separation of 9km. 3 planes a minute? It takes longer than 20 seconds to get a landed plane off the runway.
At Heathrow they are only allowed to take off and land no more than one every 45 seconds if demand is very high.
ATC can slot them in as fast as they need to. You need to listen to air traffic control at JFK international. It's mind blowing... Just Google ATC LIVE-

Dude you live in jomtien where you can buy a condo for less than the price of a new camry.Why did they pay that much for a condo? At 8K/mo rent for a high-floor sea-view, the sale-price is nowhere near that any more. Granted, many who bought years ago paid a high price, since immigration wasn't blocking Western tourists then, so the rents for the same units were 15K/mo. But those units are on fire-sale, now.
Many bought condos with their savings, knowing they would never have to pay rent again, so could live well on a lower income. After all, they "grandfathered" the last changes - so probably thought there was at least a semblance of stability and good-will involved. They thought wrong.
Thailand won't give ANY credit for a retiree's condo-equity in their retirement-scheme - even though it is clearly not "money to spend" any more (as formerly advertised). So, they likely paid too much in the past, now cannot rent it out or sell it for anywhere close to break-even, and immigration is forcing them to move to another country - where they will have to start paying rent, again. Talk about a set-up and burn!!
Glad I never bought a condo here. I considered it, but the rental-prices kept falling, and falling, and falling... as immigration tightened the screws on one subset of the Western expat-population to the next - to drive the renters and buyers away. Try doing short-term BnB to short-termers, and they'll bust you for that, too. No Win situation, folks. Keep your money somewhere safe. Investing here is a crap-shoot.
Your paying 8k a month and think you killed it and got a super deal because all the expats left yesterday [emoji23]
You can't make that stuff up!
But here is a novel idea. Why not start a new thread about rents and stop hijacking this one?

Air purifiers with built in sensors are not that much different in price approx 3500 baht for machine assuming you don't have a machine already

There are reports coming out from a company with connections that the new rules won't effect previous extension holders but only new applications or in other words grandfatherdSo what you are saying is , when you do your next yearly extension ( after the new rules come in) You will need to show proof of your previous years bank balance , so they can check you are keeping the required funds in all year.
I would give it a few days before worrying about the shambles that have been announced-
