This is funny because after I'd been using my Bangkok Bank account for two years without online banking, I went to my Bangkok Bank branch to apply for an online banking package. I was expecting a protracted verification, but they told me "you already have online banking". They made me go into Google Play Store to download the banking app, after which she looked the other way while I entered my PIN. I walked out of the branch all set up. I never thought it would be this easy. However, if you haven't dealt with European banks for years (I can't speak about the US or Australia), you may not realise how kafkaesque they have become over the last 5 to 10 years.

Banks in Europe have become a nightmare. No one to talk to anymore, helplines that keep you on hold for ages. I love Thai banks, where among other thinks I can talk to a bank employee any time I want. And if my card remains stuck inside the ATM in Thailand they'll open the ATM for me and give me back my card. Try that in Europe.

That's why it's better to stick to cash on delivery. You then have to deal with the hassle of them coming just when you're not at home but it's better than chasing a refund. By the way, the Lazada app is lousy with addresses. It can sometimes "force" an unintended address. I was staying in Pattaya at a LK Hotel. Somehow the app had contrived to register the address of another LK Hotel (there are several LKs in Pattaya).

I don't know. I don't even listen when I hear a content mentioned. The proof of the pudding only comes in the eating. It's my fifth trip with these and the buzz was consistent from one time to the next. Strong enough without becoming unpleasant.

It's one of signs of a real addiction, doing your drug first thing in the morning. When you see a doctor in order to quit smoking, one of the main question he asks the patient is "do you light up right after getting up?".

What colour is your urine? If it is darkish (dark yellow) that means you need to take in more water, never mind in which form.

I've found edibles that are just the ticket for me and I want to stick to them in the future after after having tried other things that were weak or unpredictable, prompting me to redose to early and overshoot (a cannabis overdose doesn't make you badly sick but it is mighty unpleasant). The edibles I buy are the chocolates from Blow Thailand (3 chocolate "flowers" for 180 Baht). I eat all 3 at one go and you should do so because I've noticed the active cannabis content is only consistent across all 3 and not on a piecemeal basis.

I get episodes of pessimism and despondency but they never last long and never degenerate into lasting depression. Nothing comparable to the come-down from stims.

Just curious, how do you get the THC out? Or do you extract from strains with very low THC.

And the Thais upcountry eat raw vegetables, see them chewing on it like rabbits. Is it healthy or is it just lazy? Where I come from you take those vegetables and you give yourself the trouble to cook them into a soup. Carrots and lettuce are about the only veggies I can eat raw. As to the other ones I find the taste revolting and they would give me heart burn or a touch of diarrhoea. The OP certainly has something that is wrong in his metabolism. I surmise the docs covered every bug with their pills, including Amoebas and worms. Amoebas nearly killed me 20 years ago after a trip in Africa.

Lazada again - Potential scam? I'm not sure how. But ...
JackGats replied to Crossy's topic in General Topics
Lazada is a hassle when it comes to delivery. However I'm not convinced it advertises more unreliable goods than other sellers. As a test, try searching for "minoxidil foam" on Shopee, then on Lazada. Minoxidil is a topical for hair growth. The hits on Lazada show realistic prices for a three-months supply (ie prices comparable to the price on Amazon.com). Shopee on the other hand lists suppliers with prices that are much too low for the product to be genuine. A three-month supply of Rogaine foam on Lazada: 2400 Baht. Same on Shopee: between 757 and 1489 Baht. I thought at first there could be confusion as to the quantity, but the instances on Shopee do specify "3 ขวด". -
I've been quoted less for such a trip by Bolt. Right now from LK Metro to BHP (3.5km according to Google Maps) Bolt is quoting 81 Baht.

May have had to do with the fireworks in Pattaya over the week-end. Bolt fares have been abnormally high over the last three days.

Pattaya Traffic Police crackdown on Bolt drivers
JackGats replied to Social Media's topic in Pattaya News
I hope this does not mean Bolt will soon get driven out of Thailand like Uber did, I don't want to be back to taxi rides no longer being available at less than 200 or 400 Baht. -
I don't think the water in Ao Nang is clean enough for swimming though.

AirBnb host tells me they never make TM30
JackGats replied to daejung's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Given AirBnB is banned in Thailand, wouldn't filling out a TM30 be tantamount to turning oneself in? -
Thai Democrats threaten to scrap Cannabis and Hemp Bill
JackGats replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
"Démocrassie" (= democrassy) is how French right-winger Charles Maurras spelled "democracy" at the turn of the last century. Democracies often evolve to be as bad as dictatorships, with the majority depriving minorities of their personal freedoms. -
First order on Lazada - what to expect when it comes to delivery ?

Remember to deactivate the spam protection in your phone app. They will be calling you. I'd much prefer to give them my Line ID to receive Line messages, but there it is. -
I've been patronising Dentist@Beach (central festival) for the last three years. I have no plans to stop doing so.
