I heard a rumor as to why they quit using staples to secure the TM6 in a person's passport. Supposedly since it is forbidden to alter or deface a passport, it was determined that stapling did in fact deface a passport so that is why they stopped. But again, just a rumor.
What about all the other things they like to staple in your passport? Also, if it is illegal, it would probably only be so in the country of origin.

Just booked r/t to EWR (NY) on Singapore Airlines with premium economy for $1350. It was only a few hundred more than Cathay, Emirates and the same as United. Air China is NOT an option ever! To me that's a no brainer since Cathay, United and Emirates were economy fares.
Good choice and excellent non-choice. No mainland Chinese airlines any time and not even because of the coronavirus risk.

Better call it westerners. That will at least include the US and Australia/NZ.
Or call it Farangs as that is the intended use of the word.

In most cases Grab adds an additional fee to or from airports. Also, Grab is location dependent. Fore example, I find Grab much cheaper in Chiang Mai than Pattaya.

Neither one. They are both approaching the high or even very high maintenance cost time frame.
And you do know that BMW is shorter to type than Beemer?

Why wouldn`t you want health insurance, who`s going to pay if you need extensive treatment?
Where have you been? There are probably a hundred posts explaining why.

0.0% Beer is perfect for expats with Thai wife.
Or for Thai wives that like to drink.

Bavaria does (or did) make a non flavored beer that was quite good. I recently fell for a trick label in the Philippines. It was San Miguel 0, no 0, 0 just 0. Turns out it was actually 3% alcohol.

I understand that, my preference is for iced water with a slice of lemon. Just don't understand the need to buy a faux beer, just drink fruit juice or water.
I like bars but not much alcohol and it is kind of frowned on to drink plain water in bars.

I would very much like to know what you did to report on-line?
May not work if you have never done a 90 report before. Also may require different browsers to find one that works. Otherwise, simply follow the link above.

Only if filtered. My 3M filters turn disgusting dark gray in a few weeks.

as well i presented them with my print outs for 12 months for my bank in Canada.
Maybe I am misunderstanding something but are you saying that you applied using the income method? Then you say your bank in Canada? The Embassy letter should have been all you needed but then if you show that the pension money went to a Canadian bank, that won't do it since it has to be in a Thai bank.
Any one of the following would have been OK. Monthly >65K into a Thai bank, 800K for the proper time in a Thai bank or a valid Embassy letter.

I did an online on 2 August 2019. I have two overseas travels which makes my due date 25 February 2020. The only receipt that I have is from August. Will I still be able to do an online filing? I hate to bother with either a mailing or in person since I leave for good 5 days after my due date.

What I would do is to:
1. Make sure all the 65K rules are followed
Minimum of 65K every single month on roughly similar dates
Not one month even 1฿ short
Every deposit is coded to show foreign transfer
Your bank is willing and able to prove the deposits
2. Get your extension based on income and don't even mention that you have the 800K
3. If successful, do whatever you wish with the 800K

No it's the same passport I entered on 05/11/19. This is my 1st retirement extension, and 1st 90 day report.
I had to do one in person 90 report before I could successfully use the web.

I installed Edge for Android but find that it does not pick up all of the Google features so I've gone back to Chrome.
Could you please give and example or two?

Had trouble trying to change default search engine to google. Just enter the following URL

First released in 2015. Updated frequently since then. When you say "its final form" is that it? No more updates?
Tried once before but found it useless and not compatible with many sites.
This one is not at all like the one released in 2015. I think they kept the name "Edge" just for familiarity. "Final form" meant that the Chrome based version until now has been available as a beta now it is released in a full version. I am sure it will get frequent updates.

I left my phone in a Grab and got it back.

Has anyone tried the new Microsoft Edge? It just became available for download yesterday in its final form, 16-Jan-20. It is pretty cool and is based on Chrome and looks almost like it too.
No idea yet if it will work with the various immigration online forms.

Who honestly would not go to a place and worry about the visa cost unless it was unusually expensive. Maybe something to grease the wheels and make the entry easier?

Not much, but maybe asking if anyone deserted recently or suddenly stared flashing money.

One thing I have noticed with the new Edge is that it isn't getting updates like Chrome gets.
