It is not so straight forward as Phuket Immigration are saying.
Yesterday I went to my Immigration Office to renew my retirement visa. Over the past year I have transferred 65,000 baht every month into my Thai account from the UK. Because the exchange rate is always better in Thailand than the UK I always transfer in sterling. In June, because of exchange rates the transfer was 63,990. I therefore increased my sterling transfer to ensure this didn't happen again. In October I transferred 65,000 from my other Thai account. All other 10 months showed payments between 78,000 and 66,000.
My visa was refused, because 1 month was less than 65,000 and I hadn't realised you could not transfer from another Thai account. The fact that my total income met their annual requirement was apparently irrelevant.
Having returned to the same immigration office for the past seven years with an Embassy letter confirming my salary and getting my visa renewed without any problems, I was disappointed.
To prevent this from happening, I use Transferwise and specify the receiving amount and Transferwise calculates how much is needed to receive that amount.

I have an O-A with similar dates. I recently left and returned to Thailand and got a new permission to stay date without issue or insurance questions. However, when you actually apply for an "extension", when your permission to stay expires, you will most likely have to show insurance although I personally have not gotten to that point myself. Multiple people have reported that they have been required to get insurance when applying for an extension (TM7).

I just got the same pop up message today and I have done many successful 90 day reports but this time no joy. Now I have left the country and came back on the 29th October so is that the reason this will not work today? The 15 day rule starts today so i think that should be OK but I will try again tomorrow.

Did you do a TM30 after your return to Thailand?

One other reason to take it early is if you have just lost your job.
One other consideration is if you continue to work. Any significant income from work will reduce the amount you get each month. However, the closer you are to "full" retirement, there will be less and then no further deductions.

I suffer from similar leg and feed cramps. The cooler weather definitely exacerbates the problem.

That's interesting, apparently some people put some trust in social media.
Is ThaiVisa considered social media?

It is still correct if you are having your direct deposits sent via Bangkok Bank's New York branch.
I am still using it since the direct deposits sent to here are being sent as baht and are received by the Bank of Thailand and sent to your account using BahtNet. Not changing it since the ones via New York are shown as Foreign Telegraphic Transfers (FTT code).
Is that what he was talking about? It seems he was saying that he can get the money deposited but has to do withdrawals at the counter and cannot use a debit card. I don't have any experience but have have seem other posters say the same thing.

No at all true. With your attitude, I am surprised they let you have an account to begin with.

Been doing that in South Australia for 10years. Forget your cloth bag buy degadable bags for 10cents each. I wouldn't pay 10cents when easy take your own.
Helpful in emergency.
Bottles and cans 10cents deposit and refundable, they hardly hit the ground before someone picks up.
Except........

I was then out of the country for a few months and will have to do my first 90 day report in February
Unless you were out of the country for something like 8 months, it would seem that you missed a 90 day report or two.

Has someone here gotten one of the required Thai insurance policies with a pre-existing condition? My experience in the US, which could easily be irrelevant, was that pre Obama Care, ANY pre-existing condition precluded any insurance at all for individual insurance. My wife had osteoporosis and was covered under my company's insurance. However, when that was dropped, NO company would give her insurance even with a high price tag. Regardless of what people thought of Obama Care, that was one great feature.

Isn't Taxact something like $30? If so, is it worth messing around with something else? You can also try creditkarma.com.

Use the 90 report app on Play store.

One issue to consider is the Airline Check-In process:
If you are presenting your sons Thai Passport at the Airline Check-In, he will need a Visa.
If you are presenting your sons expired UK passport, this may raise issues with the Airline who may refuse your travel.
Whatever is right or wrong, the airline is ultimately held responsible and will have to pay for him to return to Thailand if he is denied entry. 99% of the time the airline will say no and refer you to your embassy.
The emergency travel document is the only safe way.

I used the same bank and branch. A residence certificate is required. I used an agent for about ฿1000. It might also be possible to get one from your consulate. In either case, you will need documentation to prove where you live life a lease copy.

I like the ban but I had one issue at Tesco which I can attribute to lack of forethought. I filled up a basket, brought to the very small counter. There was no room to place my own bag anywhere. I had bag my items on the floor.

If there is a possible bomb in the airport, why wait for anything to arrest him?

Don't know where you come from but Thailand is a damn sight hotter than the UK - shorts are essential to prevent excessive ball sweating and associated fungal infections.
Not essential. But why do you let your balls hang out of your shorts?

If it's true that 80% of carbon is from natural emissions then how come they keep saying that scientists are in consensus that climate change is man made?
Consensus is the incorrect word. The vast majority say it.
To answer your question, they are scientists and they know what they are talking about and you do not.
