Thai ladies with hairy legs is a real turn off.
scorecard replied to ubonr1971's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Many western girls / women, all continents, have hairy legs. Just part of nature. -
There's now no need for further information on this subject as per my original post. I'm lost as to why suddenly it as become bordering on toxic. As in posts just above I have thanked the members who shared facts and valuable information. Hoping this thread can be closed.

Macquarie Bank has been asking or a lot of detail about my 'status' with the ATO and my tax status in Thailand. I queried why they need info re Thailand, they withdrew the request. -
I'm 80. I'm blessed in that: -I live with my Thai son 43 years old, his Thai wife and 4 kids. -Son has excellent education including sociology, mental health and more. -Son is always thinking about items / activities / responsibilities he could pass to me. Why? He's concerned I might get bored.

An American man in my village here in Chiang Mai says he loves spaghetti carbonara but will only order it in restaurants in NYC. -
Yes, I mean all transport options. And there's many other 'situations' which have serious monitoring in many other countries which are lax or non-existent in the LOS. One example is the construction industry; there's continuous incidents which result in large sections of building under construction falling down and there's regular deaths. There's also the regular deaths at zebra crossings, and you regularly see cars, m/cycles, trucks, buses etc., making no attempt to stop for pedestrians. This situations has multiple faults, and proper monitoring to collect valuable data to help construct better laws and better equipment is just one missing item.

Thanks for your great but not so polite advice. I have made it plain already that I've received good advice on this thread and said thanks in the public thread and in PMs. I will visit the MFA office when I have accumulated all the documents I want to take there. This will take a week or more then I'll visit. Thanks again to all for sharing some information.

Shopee - The recipient's location pin is incorrect.
scorecard replied to Digitalbanana's topic in General Topics
I have a problem with an online taxi service. I key in my address which gives a well known / registered gated moo bahn address. But on screen the pin is sometimes (not every time) showing in the next moo bahn. Taxi cannot find me so I then use the box provided to send a written message direct to the driver restating my full correct address (automatically translated to Thai). I've written to the online taxi service, they say the pin system is owned by another company who refuse to listen to issues / comments. -
Thai woman seeks justice after lantern sets her car ablaze

If there was a claim the insurance company would very likely respond: 'Where does the policy say New Years Lanterns' ? -
My mothers family all died 97, 98, 100, to 103. My dad died at 70, almost all of his 9 siblings and his father all died about 70, all had sudden heart attacks, all had a long history of heart murmurs. I'm 80, no serious illnesses ever, no regular medications, no heart conditions, no heart murmurs, never had a day in hospital, hoping for 100.

Indian passengers turn Thai AirAsia plane into party zone - video

From above: "Thais are very racist towards Indians), and then bargain to take the whole group of them (often 5 plus men)." I would phrase that as racist and don't trust Indians. Business people from many countries won't do business with Indians. Years back an old friend in Australia (decades earlier a migrant family who moved from Italy to Australia) took over his fathers large successful big business in large quantities of various fabrics. Soon after his father passed away. The new owner was well aware that his father never did business with Indian suppliers however he always suspected that his father was too fast to say 'you can't trust Indian suppliers'. So the new owner got several quotations and paid the full cost of buying the fabrics and sending them to Melbourne. On arrival a senior Australian staff member unwrapped the various parcels and discovered: - None of the fabrics that had arrived were equal to the quality specifications in the order. - None of the fabrics that had arrived were more than 90% of the length that had been clearly stipulated in the original order. The Australian guy called India. First call an Indian employee said 'our owner is too busy to take calls from foreigners and hung up. Australian guy called again many times, eventually speaking to the proclaimed owner of the supply company in India. Response 'If you give me another order for double the quantity I give you my personal promise everything will be done accurately, but I'll need double the export fees because the Indian gov't has just doubled the export fee costs. Hangs up. Australian guy realizes he's been had and of course has had to pay the costs of several nternational phone calls. No more business with Indian fabric suppliers, because 'you can't trust Indian suppliers'. -
People's Party Takes Lead Over Pheu Thai in Latest Nida Poll

Don't laugh, could well be true. Seems to me the people will eventually tire of the current games and take whatever action is needed to respect the choice of the people. But unfortunately if will probably be a while yet before the green suits can't trick the people any more.
