  1. Lets be honest about it , for anybody in his position , along with any other people of influence accepting anything from anybody ever, is clearly a potential conflict of interest As I said in a previous post, would anybody ever consider offering anything to anyone of influence if it could only be done anonymously ? very very few in my opinion, What would be the point?
  2. Or maybe simply make a rule that states all donations need to be,and remain anonymous, putting it into practice might be challenging, but not for long . All the donations would soon dry up once the sponsors realised they had nothing to gain.
  3. I find the taste of Mekong revolting , I would rather drink Lao Khao , one gets a whole body glow , and strangely , in my experience , no hangover
  4. yep same piss just in different bottles, can't say Singha is any better. I don't really bother much with any these days.
  5. "Muck done up" as they say. Proving conclusively that whilst it may have been possible to take her out of the council estate its proving a lot more challenging to take the council estate "chic" out of her. wonder which labour "supporter" provided her with that .
  6. You are the second person to ask me this . I have no idea if she carries her own bum gun with her at all times or not . But several of the higher class hotels are not generally equipped with them. I was merely offering an explanation for the fraught expression on her face in that photo She may have "followed through" or "drawn mud" as the Americans often refer to it. either way whatever had happened it appeared to have wiped the smug look off her face
  7. Who ever was supplying Rayners clothes must have also been a professional comedian, But now she will have to visit the local charity shop / car boot sale in person
  8. So basically you believe Labour MPs are inherently incapable of being involved in any form of corruption whatsoever?
  9. Have you considered buying a pair of spectacles, ? They will fit in your pocket, you will be using 100% of their features, and saving some money which you could maybe put towards corrective eye surgery
  10. Does anybody think that hospitals cannot be corrupted ? I can't really think of any organization or individual here that would be able to resist the temptation, its in their DNA and always will be
  11. Another redefining the definition of the word "expert"
  12. I didn't hear about that one but I don't doubt you , and I can't sat I'm surprised Apparently even the first smartphones that came onto the market had a greater computing power than that used to send the Apollo rockets to the moon. So what your average Somchai needs one for is totally beyond me as I doubt any of them progress far from face book or Tiktok, Likewise in the UK there is little need for such processing power on the average council estate. Motorcycles are another shining example, some of the larger ones develop as much power as a factory prepared GP race bike, controlling one is well beyond the capability of even the most experienced rider, and with all the speed limits and speed cameras in place these days what exactly is the point of a 1000cc machine when these days one half the size would suffice for anybody and a skilled trained rider would easily run rings round the poseurs that buy them on a 250
  13. Its a perfect example of a lot that's wrong with the world. Stupid people queuing up to buy something they don't need. with money they don't have. Other things that I will never understand ; people queuing up to watch movies as soon as they are released and the idiots who used to queue up to buy new cars in the UK at midnight on the 31st of july so that they would be the first ones to get the new registration letter which came out on the 1st of August. The to$$ers even used to take part in a midnight drive past parade to show off ( to each other ) normal people were fast asleep in bed, It started to pi$$ off the car manufacturers and eventually the date on which the new registrations was changed to twice a year to even out the demand
  14. Its worse than that , they actually covertly send what is basically malware to the older phones via "updates" which will slow ones phone down further encouraging the purchase of a new model They call it planned obsolescence, this was exposed a few years ago, however when called out over this they insisted the malware was essential as slowing things down would increase or prolong the life of the unaccusable battery I would not have one given to me , even if they paid me
  15. Sadly that is not true most of the people are more concerned with showing off to their "friends" on facebook etc.
  16. After some reflection, I too am looking forward to it, I strongly suspect it will be another nail in the coffin, reducing his popularity further, his position could well become untenable
  17. Why would you be ? In your eyes they can do no wrong . Even if they introduced a "special" tax , targeting just you . I'm sure you would be delighted. You would be straight on here gushing about how you were now able to make more of a difference , (after 14 years of Tory .......)
  18. That is standard rhetoric from them, They are however remaining very quite about what they have planned for the rest of the population. We will just have to wait and see, personally I am not optimistic
  19. They won't be fixing anything anytime soon mark my words . Their main priority will be creating a similar mess to greet the next administration, like they did last time. And so the endless cycle continues Ad Nauseum Maybe Starmer should step aside and give the political genius that is Angela Rayner a chance to shine ? That would at least be entertaining
  20. Of course any fraud should be thoroughly investigated and those involved punished, however fraud is not limited to Tories, It is endemic throughout politics, just like boxing and horse racing there is too much money involved for it not to be. I doubt there are enough prison spaces in the entire system to house all those involved Perhaps a cost / benefit study would be appropriate, obviously taking into account the inflated salaries of those who make a full time career of conducting such inquiries. Forgive my negativity but I can see little on the horizon to be positive about
  21. Remind me again of the cut off point for this means testing, will the people who are supposed to survive on the state pension of £221.20 per week be entitled to it? "All pensioners will still receive triple locked increases to their state pension, a guaranteed annual increase most working people can only dream of". Unless they are members of one of the trade unions who starmer wishes to keep on board. Percentage wise the annual pension increases may appear generous to you, but any percentage of a tiny amount is still a tiny amount. The UK pension , the lowest in the developed world, has a long way to go before it provides a liveable income You must be the only person looking forward to the budget, do you somehow think you will be better off, or do you just relish the prospect of others being made poorer in the name of socialism
  22. LIke that is ever going to happen , and even if it did , has" two tier free gear" Starmer decided which prisoners will be released tp make room for this batch of new inmates when they have faced the full force of his law
