I don't really need a hobby to keep me satisfied. I have things I need to do, but now I'm retired I can do them in my own time. When I decide to. And I have plenty to do. And enjoying it.

Why would a retiree desire to be productive? What are they producing? Being productive or increasing productivity was a term used by the bosses during your working life to make them more money while paying you the same. And most of us fell for it. Sadly.

Can't think of much that is more boring than riding a push bike. Gave that up around 16 years old. Four wheel driving? In Thailand....good luck with that. Chess, maybe, but that would usually mean playing with another farang. None I know of in the wife's village. Muay Thai. Be realistic. How many retirees are ever going to be a competent in Muay Thai?
