Why doesn't the OP's wife call VFS Phuket and find out what this package entails, rather than getting wild guesses from the forum membership?
It's Mayday and they're on holiday?

Seems from this thread that the petition has already been debated.

Something odd here.
The petition hasn't yet reached the threshold for debate so why discussed already?

Were you charged a fee to use a KBank ATM with a BBL account? Was the KBank ATM in the same province as your BBL account?
I can confirm no fee with a succesful withdrawal from my BBL account at a Kasikorn ATM in the same province.

The breadcrumbs on this site has several levels.
Yes, and takes you back one level at a time, not one page. No good if you want to go back to a previous page of this thread for example. Back button works just fine.

Moving can be a hassle, especially when you're not sure where to start. I remember when I had to move from one city to another with just a few belongings.
Please tell us more (not).

Never use back button on a forum, it's not designed for that. Use the breadcrumbs instead.
Breadcrumbs can only take you back one level. Back button is much more use and works fine.

My withdrawal failed with an error message as mentioned, but I see another stage is required now in the app that I hadn't noticed before so it may well have been down to me. The screen on the BBL app clearly says no fee up until that point. I'll try again in the next few days now that I think I know what I did wrong.
The ATM and account are in the same province and I have done regular card withdrawals at that ATM before with no fee so I don't expect any.

Slow speeds experienced on phone . Varies but often below 1Mps
OK. My experience is with a SIM router so probably not comparable.

The option to withdraw from a Kasikorn account at BBL ATMs has been there for at least a month and was briefly discussed here:
https://aseannow.com/topic/1323429-dealing-with-forgetfulness/page/2/
I don't know when the option to withdraw from a BBL account at a Kasikorn ATM went live, but the couple of times I've tried it I've received an error message regarding the QR code being the wrong format or something similar.
ETA: Could be user error as I've just worked out the extra step required on the app.

It is only for network, can use it in a phone or sim router, no mobile tel calls but you need to check if there is nt/tot mobile network in your area and areas you will visit.
Other 12 month sim card prices have increased dramatically from 1 year ago.
Yes, I was asking the OP to ascertain where he was seeing the speed issues.

I'm describing the law, you're describing tax evasion.
Avoidance, not evasion, in the eyes of the big Thai accounting companies as reported previously on here. I think it may even have been you that provided links showing that gift allowances were a weapon in many of their armouries and have been for years.

in practice download speed has been variable and often well below the stated 6Mps.
Is this in a mobile phone or using a SIM router?

treetops, I understand the Amphur. Where in City Hall do they make id cards?
It was mentioned in post #4 that they were available there, and I recall a friend getting one there, but no idea of the fine details.

or the average 80kg Male - 2x Cans of 330ml (5%ABV) beer immediately give a BAC of 0.04% - Thats half of the USA DUI Limit of 0.08%
But if these were half litre cans the level would be 0.05% which is the limit in Thailand.

We took Bolt from Pattaya Tai. You won’t get a hit on Bolt’s map if you’re looking for Amphur Banglamung. Place the destination pin yourself, looking on Suk going north: it’s BANGLAMUNG DISTRICT OFFICE.
Any reason you didn't go to City Hall on Nua?

U, US (not UK) will dominate all things in the EU, US & UK, but not the rest of the world. That's CH's playground.
Those days of domination are over. Threats & intimidation (US & EU's SOP) don't work as well as help & assistance, CH's SOP
CH is Switzerland, CN is China, but nevertheless China's alleged SOP of help and assistance only lasts until the recipient is in enough debt to them that they think they can set the rules. They're going to get their bottoms kicked soon in some places with that attitude.

61) Gifts in excess of the above thresholds will be subject to PIT at the rate of 5% and will not need to be included together with other income when computing the annual PIT liability.
This bit makes me think that even if gifts are to be taxed then it'll be at 5% irrespective of other income taking you up the bands. If so it'd still be a way to reduce one's income tax bill if paying any at a rate >5%.

Just curious, but a question for those who had a retina reattached here in Thailand - What was the cost?
Mine was somewhere between 200,000 and 250,000 baht IIRC.

Not sure if this is a procedure offered by dentists in Thailand.
It is.
There was a dental thread just in the last day or two where someone linked to a Thai dental practice price list and I saw them itemised on there.

Should you wish to then withdraw cash, you'd require your passport and passbook to withdraw over the counter.
Or use the "Cardless ATM" feature in the app.

Yes, I had it done in BPH over a year ago. They poke a hole in your eyeball and stick a laser in to zap the retina back into place.
Mine had pulled a blood vessel with it so I needed a vitrectomy too, I don't know if that's always the case or just because I had the bleeding, but that entails putting a mini vacuum cleaner in the hole before the laser and sucking out the vitreous fluid.
Vitreous fluid is replaced with a gas that takes a while to disperse so no flying for several weeks afterwards. Actual time depends on the gas used.
Local anesthetic and I don't mind admitting I winced a few times with the laser.
Are you thinking of returning to the UK with your Thai family?
