  1. Depression isn't to be laughed at.
  2. Something has caused that sinkhole. More than likely you have a water leak. Dig around those water pipes and check. If they're okay do what the locals tell you and backfill it using compaction..

  7. No it doesn't. For every time someone quotes the law someone will publish another variant. In Thailand everything is open to interpretation.
  8. Let me tell yous a little story. Many years ago I did my first transfer of my old passport stamps to my new passport. A nice officer named "Khun Arcade" did the transfer. At the end I asked him how much for the service. " No charge" was his reply. That stuck in my head for the next 10 years as to how honest he was. Ten years later I go to IO Buriram to do my transfer of stamps to my new passport. I sit down in front of an officer and explained what I needed. He immediately said "500 Baht'. I said "no there is no charge". Did I worry that I'd said "NO" to an immigration officer? Not at all. He was taken aback but did my transfer "no charge'. And in a few years when I have to transfer my stamps again how do you think I'll react? Some of yous out there that cower down just at the thought of upsetting an IO need to grow a pair.
  9. They don't give a siht who registers really as long as someone does. Answer me this. Why wasn't immigration bothered about the TM 30 until 4 years ago? Prior to that they didn't bother with it for 16 years that I know of.
  10. I don't believe you. Threatened with a 3500 Baht fine? It's only a fine of 2000 Baht, maximum, if the owner fails to report the farang at his address. They must have seen you coming from miles away.
  11. Total tosh. Show a link to your claim. Don't bother there ain't one.

  14. Yes it was an 'Inguinal Hernia' and it was done with open surgery. It's now been six days or so since the OP and I can honestly say I've not had any problems, post OP.
  15. Despite this overall high level of reliability, there are still shortages and outages occur that do affect Thailand's power supply. These outages are frequently associated with equipment failures related to aging infrastructure and deferred grid maintenance.

  17. Good news. My wife has been in touch with Lazada and they are going to refund me via my wallet. Thanks to all who replied.
  18. Irrespective question. I'll try to remember that. Doh
  19. Two days ago I had a watch delivered from Lazada (cod). Before the delivery guy hands over the item he needs to be paid. Not a problem. On the exchange I noticed my delivery was kinda light. On checking the package I noticed the end had been torn open and repaired. There was no watch. I spoke with the delivery guy but he wouldn't refund me and he got no support from his delivery office. I immediately got onto Lazada and asked for a refund. To do that one has to return the item undamaged. For me I haven't got an item to return. What happens next????
  20. Even if you find someone with a 'roto-rooter' you need to kill the tree which caused the damage. It ain't gonna stop root growth. Best bet is to dig out the damaged pipes and renew them after killing the tree.
  21. You as a farang do not get fined for not doing a TM30. It is the responsibility of the landlord to do the TM30. But unfortunately it's easier to get a farang to pay the fine than go after the landlord. When will farangs learn?
