  1. But given what we do know the guy appears to have been a plonker
  2. I couldn't agree more. Burn him here and save the problem, and cost, of returning him back to the UK.
  3. If the police were to knuckle down and enforce all of Thailand road laws there would be major civil unrest and the powers in government know this.
  4. 17 years+ and never been scammed. Can't see why/how others get done regularly !!!!
  5. The guy had 5 kids, no job, and was going through a divorce but able to pay for a holiday in Thailand. Someone's taking the P.
  6. So now another 'GoFundMe' to get his body flown home I suppose?
  7. It's mainly motorcycles that the police need to be clamping down on. The biggest killer on Thai roads are motor cycles. 82% of accidents involved motorcycles, followed by pick-ups (7.37%) and cars (4.7%)
  8. Only 4 people to travel in the back of a pick-up !!!!!! Yeah right.
  9. Ah, so you're saying he wasn't working legally as a burger flipper?
  10. Aside from the ruckus why /who allows foreigners to gain work permits to flip burgers? I'm sure Thais must be capable of doing it. No way can I see a foreigner doing burger flipping legally.
  11. Hyperkeratosis How do you treat a scaly dog's nose? Soaking the nose with a warm, moist towel and then applying petroleum jelly will help to keep the nose nice and soft. https://tploinfo.com/blog/hyperkeratosis-in-dogs-an-overview/
  12. A little hypocritical coming from a Thai. IMO
  13. Quite obvious really. In fact rice sowing has not started yet. So definitely no chance of being harvested early. Who mentioned rice anyway?
  14. Thailand is often referred to as “The Land of Smiles.” It got this nickname because in Thailand, a smile is much more than just a smile…it is a form of subtle interpersonal-messaging. There are at least 13 different smiles that a Thai person may use, each one having a very specific meaning. Yim thang nam taa: The “I’m so happy I’m crying” smile. Yim thak thaai: The “polite” smile for someone you barely know. Yim cheun chom: The “I admire you” or “I’m proud of you” smile. Fuen Yim: The stiff smile, also known as the “I should laugh at the joke even though it’s not funny” smile. Yim mee lessanai: The smile which masks something wicked, such as bad intent. Yim yaw: The teasing, or “I told you so” smile. Yim yae-yae: The “I know things look pretty bad but there’s no point in crying over spilt milk” smile. Yim sao: The sad smile. Yim haeng: The dry smile, also known as the “I know I owe you the money, but I don’t have it” smile. Yim thak thaan: The “I disagree with you” smile, also known as the “You can go ahead and propose it but your idea’s no good” smile. Yim cheuad-cheuan: The “I am the winner” smile; a smile given to a losing competitor. Yim soo: The “smiling in the face of an impossible struggle” smile. Yim mai awk: The “I’m trying to smile, but can’t” smile.
  15. I know that but when it comes to harvesting the weather (rain) plays a part in when to pull the root. Excuse the expression. Workers don't want to work in the rain.
  16. Thai and their smiles. It's not about showing that they're happy etc. It's deeper than that. https://www.google.com/search?q=13+ways+thai+smile&rlz=1C1CHBF_enTH1042TH1042&oq=13+ways+thai+smile&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i160j33i22i29i30.9088j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:93b8fd9d,vid:f6Q5Jtp1Bzc
  17. People that grow cassava for one. Cassava price is based on weight, starch content, and dirt etc. It can be harvested at any time.
  18. Yes it works. https://www.lazada.co.th/tag/reflective-window-film/?q=reflective+window+film&_keyori=ss&from=input&spm=a2o4m.searchlist.search.go.755331ceHbrAjO&catalog_redirect_tag=true Before undertaking the task of DIY please look up on Youtube. Or get some guy that fits it to car windows for a living. My recommendation would be the latter.
